Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability ru-vid.comUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!

I had several standing trees that had been dead for years. I waited until the weather was like and slowly started burning them down. I had areas overgrown like this and I put hogs on them. The hogs opened it up and I used an excavator with a thumb to finish the job and pile logs up for burning. I enjoy your videos and I love seeing land cleared. Thanks

That is one very skilled operator and such a well thought out tecnique to keep the whole process so efficient way he did the job. Loved the swapping out the cutter when dull and keeping the job quick and smooth without wasting any of your time or his time. By the way you are very good at narration. I think somebody else mention it too in the comments and they were right. I remember some of those African wildlife shows and you do sound like the man who did them. I once considered setting a young friend up into his own business doing just this, but the ongoing machine maintenance costs made me think twice. Wicked expensive. I like how they switch cutter heads to resharpen cutter tines before they wear beyond being sharpened and need replacing. That one act alone probably saves them thousand$.

Man I just want to be able to afford one mulcher lol must be nice to be able to have a spare one. I’d have to settle for having spare blades to swap out with a good impact and then sharpen blades when I got back to the shop so I could continue the cycle them out. It’s honestly how I used to run my lawn business. Carry good sharp blades and swap out when you feel necessary.

The big machines, compared to the skid steers with heads on them, is that the big ones do not have to pause. They can still do masive work quickly compared to a chainsaw, winch, and grinder operation and do it safer though. They just fall in the gap between taking down tree plantations and arborists trimming trees. The main diference in getting the job done is time and saftey.

@texasprepper2

I’m sure rocks dull them a lot quicker than just trees or dirt. I would imagine they have to be sharpened much more often if it’s rocky terrain.

Pro Tip: You can teach a monkey too much in 15 minutes, the left joystick controls the track and the right controls the loader arm. The real issue is that typically customers end up wanting to do something with their land like plant crops/ garden, dig a well, dig a pond, or cut a foundation for a barn, shop, house, swimming pool or garage. Non of this can be accomplished without removing the root ball and horizontal root structure of the tree. It's just easier to bring in an a decent sized excavator and shove the trees over (which brings up the rootball). Then any of the hardwoods can be sold to a Mill to recoup customer money, rather than leaving it laying all over the ground.

How much would it cost to clear an acre of trees on my land?
@texasprepper2
@texasprepper2 Год назад
Way too many factors to be able to answer that. They charge about $200 an hour. If they are doing small brush and very small trees, they can get a lot done in a few hours. If they’re doing huge trees and mulching everything completely, then they will spend a lot more time on your property. But, around $200 an hour is the going rate I think. Most people will come out and do a free estimate if you can find someone in your area.
