Thanks for the video, this was very useful. You actually don't need to bend the rod. If you slide the float up yo the top, the rod will go in and then allow the top part of the sender with the float to go vertical
Thanks for this video. It was very helpful. I found when it came time to drop the new part into the hole you can just put a larger diameter socket over the top of the part, around the electrical connector, with an extension attached to the socket. Then I tapped the extension/socket/part with a hammer until it dropped down into the hole. This avoids the need to bend the tube and risk not having the float move freely.
Yes but that would delete the whole purpose of them putting it where they did because they hope you will bring it in so they can charge you 110.00 an hour too fix it ! I think these engineers who design this crap Should be made to work on it or at least have to have some kind of wrench turning knowledge ! But they don't design them to work on lol they build them too sell lol ! You gotta love it I've been turning wrenches my whole life my dad was a wrench head in the 50s through 80 for a well known race team and I would say there is not going to be any mechanics in heaven unless the good Lord comes on a day that there's no wrench turning happening lol he would say this would make a preacher cuss and loose his religion lol 😂 but nothing like the feeling of getting fixed and not feeling robbed and raped by dealer!
