Just finished Hot Ones with Conan on season finale just now and was reminded of this interview. One of my favorite moments before old enough to drive watching Conan when I could sneak it in. Loved the journey the whole way through, I love this dude. Bobcat is a legend and feels like this heavily inspired Conan on Hot Wings lol.
"Would you please be serious, Mr. Goldthwait?" "and I'm going 'No.... You're interviewing me and a clown. What, did you lose a bet?" -lmao! Watched this part like 6 times over and over again.
THE MOST LIBERATING AND CREATIVE/UNIQUE MIDDLE FINGER TO NBC! ever!!!!! BOBCAT IS A BEAST! A COMIC GENIUS! WHY DO U THINK rOBIN WILLIAMS LOVED HIM? BEST FRIENDS ACTUALLY! WAS IN BOBS CLOWN FILM FOR FREE!!!!!!! ALWAYS BE YOURSELF PEOPLE! VERYON EELSE IS BORING AND TAKEN!!!!!
@@RandoLePerson wow I'm a 90s kid too I didn't know that I have to check it out! I remember tales from the crypt. I also remember bobcat being in an episode or 2 of Are You Afraid Of The Dark from Nickelodeon. Its sad that we used to have these good shows we watched but now its gone to shits.
i miss the character comedians... now they are so restrained in correctness of whats a no no to speak about...we even take comedy way too serious...can see why robin and bobcat could have a great friendship god bless them for the laughter ..two bright stars who could step outside the box..now bobcat makes and writes movies..which are really good and robin left us nothing stays the same ..but what great times they gave us escapes from our own realities and took us away with emotions will follow bobcat s journey but i do miss the character..god bless
I didn't really like him back then and i saw all this stuff but now i really appreciate and see the genius in his work. This interview was pretty ahhhhhh eeeesnort ff funny.
When they are all laughing it's hard to hear, isn't it? It's hard to hear that voice. The one that says “you’ll never be good enough.” Is it your mother’s voice? Your father’s? Or is it yours? It may be hard to hear now, but when the cameras stop flashing, and the applause dies, that voice will be all you hear. And I promise you my friend, it will be shrieking.
Charlie Kelly! That's who Bobcat reminds me of, it's been on the tip of my brain. Whether Charlie is aware of it or not, I think he's channeling a good bit of Bobcat for his character in Always Sunny.
Chris smith it might have been Graham Norton....I have seen a bunch of his clips too. Who is the other fella that does a show...he and Russell Brand got busted for calling some old man and saying one of them had sex with his grand daughter
Brings back memories,, people told me I reminded them of Bobcat Goldthwait, someone suggested I try out at Tommy T's comedy club, I always liked comedy, I grew watching Jerry Lewis, The Marx Brother's, Johnny Carson, Three Stooges, In the future I hope make a video of me doing comedy, after all laughter is the best medicine, I'm too sober now to post anything, now that's funny 🃏
I'm sure you all know that he really doesnt talk like that LOL. I saw a more recent stand up he did where he made fun of the way he used to talk like that (it was basically for his police academy role)
