If you are carrying lots of snow to certain areas then this is better than a V. If you need to bust drifts or plow through real deep snow then a V plow will be better. Thanks for the comments.
GL291117 We don't get lite fluffy snow here, and drifting is a given. I think I'm on the right track with the V, some of the places I have are tight. I just was impressed with your video, the operator is pretty good too. (-;
Cool unit!! But I might have ya beat. I bought brand new in '79 a 4125 IH skid steer. Just got married and started dairy farming that year. This was probably IH'S coolest implement yet. It had a 22 hp. Onan and is 36" wide. Both buckets included, tyne bucket and material bucket. Sold all my land and machinery in '98, had open heart surgery. Kept acreage and few small things including skid loader. Just last year we restored it completely. Repowered with 30 hp. Vanguard, full Led light bars front and back, 5000 lb. winch mounted above engine, enclosed cab and added heat, built a 7ft. material bucket for snow, went through hydrostatics etc. new tractor tires, strobe emergency light like your's, and replaced seat. I was offered 20K from a local neighbor but have more than that in it. Bill of sale is still in my desk from 1979 for $3150.00 from local IH dealer. Nice video you had too but thought I should tell my story-----pretty rare little unit!!!! THX. Jim
Looks great and easy. It’s the new customers who call too late last minute and u have compact ice and car tire marks. I can plow these ones all day in the video ( excellent work and video btw!!!) it’s the tough ones I struggle to find ideal products. I usually just use my regular skid bucket. Fir consistent regular customers I love the wide snow plow

Skidsteers are great if don't have to transport from one job to another . I had a New Holland with a 10' V - blade , it could out plow any pickup truck .
Been watching u tube vids for amusement lately. then i read the comments. so many negative comments. if you are so good, why you watching? and then criticizing. im just watching for entertainment on my secondary flat screen while doing business on my main screen. And then i see the negative comments. "coulda done it faster". go do it faster somewhere else. No one gives a shit.
This operator could work for me anytime. He's fast, he's efficient, and he stacks well. I'd pay him whatever his hourly wage was (within reason), I'd pay for all of his meals and however much coffee he wanted. I'd also give him a year end bonus. Too many people talk shit in this industry without knowing shit, but this operator is just plain good.
I don't know were your from but that was nothing special. My guys would have pushed that whole thing way faster than that. He didn't have to use the angle blade with the doors open to the shop. Get that shit done!
could you provide us info on the wheels and tires the bobcat in this vid is using? I have this exact machine and cant find these wheels/tires anywhere. cost also?
+Brian Poe Snow Wolf makes tires and wheel combo called Wolf Paws. Check their website for dealer info. Cost me $1300 5 yrs ago, probably similar today.
@@GL291117 thanks for the reply, save a lot of time clearing snow, spend a little more time unhooking it and loading it on the trailer if unable to drive between jobs. what do you do.
I always trailered it on the machine. Never had an issue in 5+ yrs of doing it. I would never take the time to take it on and off the machine. @@nocoolname32
@@GL291117 again thanks, the kind of practical advice i need being a rookie!! and worse case scenario a cop tells you it's too wide and you find you're plan B. my observation is same as yours, cops largely leave snow removal people alone.
Do the wings open up/fold out? There are plow setups that do that correct? Not talking about v plows. I may come up with wings for my straight plow that can fold out to widen the plow and then angle in when I need to contain the snow. I know a V plow is a great solution but want to keep my straight blade for now.
+allblacks420 At the time because of having to get other vehicles out of the shop through that garage door, the 10' plow needed to be facing toward the back of the garage. Lots of back dragging at my shop so it's not really an issue.
Hello, there is no dispute on your site, you can also work quickly because the base that you know is clean, you can demolish the well or get between the plates at speed, it feels unpleasant and you won't earn money like that, so a self-builder looks at the video, an upstart to whom you come and he starts to teach you how to work slowly, and also everyone is running around on camera trying not to shoot what security. And in general, super. And did you probably make the bucket yourself?
They were bought from Snow Wolf Plows. All there stuff was yellow back 10 yrs ago. Now I know Bobcat offers dedicated snow tires from other companies or their own products that are orange. But back then they didn’t.👍🏻
Dan Krueger there's more than one right way to get the job done. He's s good operator, no need to destroy the equipment going fast. Sometimes going at a good steady pace is best.
Not up against garage doors you can’t. Everything has it’s place. I’d rather have the versatility of this over a regular pusher any day. There are much more expensive versions of winged plows too, that are better than this one. I wasn’t gonna spend $20k
skidsteers are not cheep and the hours add up fast. It is tough to say if the skidsteer is the way to go, because skidsteer hours add up and transporting the machine can be very difficult in icy conditions. Going down a snowy hill is crazy shit with any size skidsteer. You better chain up both truck and trailer. and if you don't make it up a hill and start spinning out.. oh shit
Have you had the machine for a while, and perhaps noticed any ill effects of this? I run the same machine with a 10' snow box.. I feel like my drivetrain got a little noisy after last year..
We picked up a set of these this Year. Im DISAPPOINTED. With NO Sipes you will be FIGHTING to get traction. If you're at a parking lot or driveway with Any snowpack you're going to find yourself digging/spinning through the snow/ice until it hits pavement... Save your money! Get narrow Big rig tires Yes, they might be better than factories yet Being from snow wolf these are terrible for the Price
