You can see his face and body morph from calm and curious to nervous and frightened or defensive or his "Count Dracula" look when he sees my wife behind me holding a broom. He hates broom and mops. LOL
i saw in the neswspaper today an article about a baby siberian eagle owl thinking that a mop was his sibling and enjoyed riding the mop and jumping on it. Maybe your owl assume the same, except is showing signs of fear.
