2:08 I don't know why, but I couldn't stop laughing at this part. I think your delivery was just on point enough to where it tickled me 😂 Either way, Cats played an incredible game. Game 2 is going to be interesting.
When you have a good team playing in front of a determined goalie , things usually turn out for the better . I think the Panthers can win in 6 , but NYR didn't get this far by being a shitty team this year . It's the playoffs, and anything can happen .
The Panthers fourth line was the most impressive part of their game. I thought they controlled more of the game than I thought they would. There were times when they had the Rangers in their own zone for quite some time.
The Panthers essentially have 6 quality NHL guys they can rotate in and out of the fourth line - Stenlund, Cousins, Lomberg, Lorentz, Okposo, Gadjovich, plus some really good AHL guys in Sourdif and Samoskevich that probably would crack the NHL roster on some other teams.
Saw an interview on the local sports cast down here. The Panthers just want to win. They don't care where they're playing. The mystique of the Garden didn't phase them.
People who only looked at the save percentage stat and also don't know how Florida plays their D. The thing is, it's true that the Cats play a very uncharacteristically risky forecheck that might not offer up a lot of scoring chances, but when that pressure *is* broken, it's typically an odd-man rush the other way with a good stretch pass. Bob doesn't see a high volume of shots, but a ton of the shots he faces are high-danger scoring opportunities. Statistically, it makes him look ordinary.
Bobrovsky barely got tested, he had 2 flurries of good shots on him the rest were soft af shots, im a die hard Ranger fan and all i have to say is if we decide to play the worse hockey of the season in round 3 of the playoffs you guys will coast right into the finals, enjoy the win.
Rangers laid a stinker im assuming and hoping at least they’ll come out way better in game 2 way too much holding pucks too long and just passing too much in the beginning tryna find the fancy nice looking plays and just didn’t have the best effort in puck battles and just lacked execution hopefully they’ll be better in game 2 so they can actually make it a series
Also i love how this game explained the no call on the Bennet goalie interference. The ref stated that the Florida player entered the blue paint before the Rangers player shoved him into the goalie. Go back to the Bennet player last series and you'll see the Boston player enter the blue paint before the contact was made therefore if the Boston player DIDN'T enter the paint, the call would have been made.
He also made contact with Sheisty before he was shoved. It was a good call. Didn't matter though, the panthers were/are a better team. Sad to say as a Ranger fan but I am also a hockey fan and a realist.
🤦 the bruins game Coyle was already in the exact position swayman had to be before the contact so it never mattered as far as what Toronto was reviewing! In this game lomberg was in the exact position Igor had to be before the contact so the contact even if it looked like a cross check didn’t matter. Seems like it’s been fairly consistent in those regards, which hopefully shuts up the cry baby bruins fans, doubt it tho 🤣
What about the statistic that 68% of teams who win game 1 win the series? I mean yeah anything can happen at this point but I mean statically over the last 20-30 years nearly 70% of game 1 ecf winners win the series. Does that not mean anything at all?
Exactly, why was there no offense from the highly touted explosive Rangers? Maybe it was because that's what FLA does to other teams. When will people get that?
@@davidweitzer3618 Nah can't be that the panthers are great at forechecking and backchecking. Hmmm lets see, we can't blame the officiating because neither team scored on the powerplay and the panthers had a goal called back (right call to be fair). I know lets blame the ice! yes a rangers player actually said that
Idk about that Tkachuk goal. A great shot but not sure Shesterkin wasn’t screen. Only he knows I guess. You would think he makes that save 99 out of 100
I think his own D man screened him. The way Shesterkin moved, it looked like he was just having to take a guess at where the puck was heading. I'm pretty sure the analysts said something similar about that goal, but I can't recall exactly.
as a goalie it was probably a defelction off the dman, not a huge change of direction but enough to throw off the save. its the same reason a changeup is hard to hit if you've seen nothing but fastballs.
Well that sucks, I’m working on the tugboats so I’m using my laptop for editing. So might of did a default. I can’t re-edit right now due to a ship assist but might upload a higher resolution video tomorrow. Damn that’s annoying on my end 😂
Bobby had himself a game. I still hope the Rangers win this series, but more than anything I hope whoever loses this series loses to either team in the west (hopefully it'll be the stars)
@@davidweitzer3618 What's confusing? I want the Rangers to win this series because I like them more than the Panthers, but I like both the Oilers and the Stars more than either team in the east. I'm rooting for the Stars above everyone else because they were my prediction to win it all at the start of the post season, and I would really love to see Pavelski win a cup
@@criswalkernexactly, they couldn’t get it in, and tbh there weren’t that many great looks, the panthers kept the rangers with very few chances until the very end of the game
