People who dont know...this bob sleigh was a line to seperate the enemy in the war (92-95) there are a lot of holes etc in it. I was walking there recently. Sad view of an Olympic Beauty! Dude you got courage!!!
@@aramzulumyan6380 he definitely checked the track before he went up to go down.... He had a cpl mates there, you can see one standing over track after first ~30 sec
It is balanced out by his peanut brain. I joke of course, but you have to be slightly crazy to propel yourself down an abandoned concrete chute full of holes at 70mph on a tiny board wearing a Lycra jumpsuit.
The only thing I'll say is: It takes BALLS to ride a bobsleigh covered in holes from shelling. Don't even want to imagine what would have happened if one of those tiny wheels hit one of those holes... But congrats and thank you for riding it, maybe someone, sometime decides to restore it.
Dude that’s his fucking head bobbing around. You people really love to criticize the way anything is filmed from your bed while somebody else actually does shit
@@ItsDavieman can't be a joke if 10 people in the comments have said the same thing already. Oh wait the is the internet walking on milk crates is funny to people.
Here's a reminder that luge is the most dangerous and fastest Winter Olympic sport So by doing it on an abandoned track, he made the experience even more dangerous. Forget NYC, if you can make it on this track, you can make it anywhere. You have balls as strong as that track
There are crazy and/or stupid things I would do. Going down an old bumpy concrete bobsleigh track at 100+km/h on a tiny modified bobsleigh isn't one of them.
Non commercial? It had plenty of global sponsors for the games. - Coca-Cola - Mitsubishi provided the cars - Motorola was the telecommunications provider - Mizuno corporation made the Olympic Torches. That's just to name a few. There's plenty more.
When I watched this beautiful video I have become emotional as I was working on that project one year before Olimpic games and I must say it was best time to be there and people was nice and world was peaceful place thanks for this video ☺️
Unfortunately, domestic parasites transformed Bosnia into a private mafia state which is making money with the suffering of its own people by holding them delibaretly in poorness. (and pulling money from wellmeaning people like you) No money anymore for Bosnia, anything else would be a mistake. (unfortunately)
@@user-fartsmella69 economically? sure I would agree. culturally? absolutely not. I would disagree with the Bosnia not being rebuilt thing though, a lot of countries suffered wars but few managed to rebuilt most of it's country in less than 20 years. Oh and let's not forget that people who consider Bosnia "one of the worst countries in the world" are first world citizens who don't realize how much the Balkan peninsula was robbed by the EU.
The track: I haven't been maintained in decades, you might die! Him: I missed the part where that's my problem You probably lost tons of brain cells doing this...respect, comrade
@@mahmud7645 Yes if you live in a fantasy land. Good luck with coping with reality of BiH for the last almost 30 years. A non functional sorry excuse of a state.
@@Mike-kr5dn 1. its almost 40 years old with no maintance in the last 20, 2. It survived a war, where you know, there are explosions and stray bullets hitting everywhere and 3. the ground has shifted, even if not a lot, enough for it needing to be rebuilt for safe use. Of fucking course it's jumpy what do you expect
Beautiful run! I remember watching the 1984 Winter Olympics from Sarajevo on TV, it was a magical time. The city was beautiful, decked out in colors and modern. I was especially impressed with all the beautiful women walking around and taking part in the ceremonies. Who could imagine that not even 10 years later the city would be laid siege to, reduced to rubble and walking in the wrong place could cost you your life. Through it all the people and city survived, I really hope they could host another Winter Olympics.
There are talks if barcelona chooses sarajevo as it's partner for olympics 2030 then part of the games will be in sarajevo again so bobsleight could be restored
@@kenankalamujic6677 Why doesn't Sarajevo try for another Olympics? It attempted to do so for 2010, surely it can do it again. Sarajevo is just too far from Barcelona, especially when you can easily choose either France or Italy, if you must need an existing sliding track.
@@LordDavid04 The Bosnian government have other problems since the end of the war. You can‘t even go into the woods in BiH because there are so many landmines.
OK, I will not say Sarajevo '84 feels like yesterday for me, but sometimes the games come so clear to my mind, that now watching the abandoned famous slope breaks my heart. BTW, indeed professionally done! Kudos.
Ahoj,na konci si všimnu nápis Slovakia-aha😀! Velký respekt,bo slušný adrenalin (jezdím mtb) ; a zároveň velký smutek,bo Sarajevo 😭. Hodně palců hore, zdraví moravák od P.Bystrice ✌️
This is luge - not bobsleigh - and normally done on ice, not concrete 🤔 How this guy didn't catch the sides and end up a tangled mess of broken limbs I have no idea. Its either fake sped up or this guy has the biggest fucking steel balls of all time.
We visited it in 1986 and actually got a ride in a 4 person sled at about half speed of the actual sleds. Was awesome and now so sad to see it this way.
Hello Marek Solčanský, is it possible to contact you regarding this video (i.e. via email)? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible to discuss? :) Cheers, Felix
despite how fun this looks, the sheer fear of running into a brick wall with myself stretched out like that, completely decimating my legs, overpowers my interest in ever doing this

20 years of damage and disrepair and then you have some people, which still want some excitement. Honestly very impressive. Are you guys maybe try to repair that track for the future?
Sarajewo always make me think about what matters in life, how quick stuff can change. History is harsh. Thanks mate for taking me out of my comfort zone.
@@user-mi4yc7pr3x If I'm correct, all the birds have the ability to have their heads fixed (I assume useful for flying) so you can shake it as fast and hard as you can and their heads won't move a bit...
I believe an effort to bring the track back to life in terms of Olympic era is being done through private fundraising. In it's day this track was one of the best.
No, no he would slide. Seen that video of the guy skid off his bike for 100 plus meters and walk it off like nothing happened? Road burn is a bitch trust me
Some mates and I used to do this, laying on a skateboard, on a long gentle sloping rural road, sometimes passing the cars. Got clocked by the local cop doing 80kmh. No protection other than a pair of gloves for starting, and to prevent burns from scalding hot bearing lubricant and the trucks at the end of the run. Did this insanity for a about three years, but apparently no Australian Winter Olympics reps Ever drove that road, and the news never got back to them about the bunch of nuts with a speed fetish and death wish, so none of us got picked to go to Sarajevo to ride luge for real. If I was 30 years younger, I’d give this track a go on a simple skateboard.
PuuuRe 💯 adrenaline in one of it's rawest possible forms ⚡⚡💥👌! It gets even harder by doing the descend on a bobsleigh track that actually isn't operational as we may observe and in which there's fallen leaves and moss mostly present in the initial sections of the track making it very instable and therefore increasing the risk of a crash at such speeds as high as 80km/h,maybe 100km/h even. Respect 👍 to you 🇸🇰, all the way from P🌞rtugaL🇵🇹.
I just recently walked down this. Funny thing about these things, if you place 2 people on each side of one of these high curves, they can hear each other like they're right next to one another. It's uncanny.
This looks so damn much fun. As i saw the old bobsleigh track in Sarajevo i thought what a blast it must be to shoot down the track and here we got the video.

That's trickier than the real Olympics. He runs down a bombed concrete track while at Olympia it's all ice and pretty much safe compared to that. Crazy!
Could someone please explain to me how during the summer he is going down. What is the surface of the track? Always thought that it was ice but it looks like something artificial
