The National Trust garden in the Conwy Valley south of Llandudno is surely one of the World`s great gardens. This early Spring visit was a wonderful experience with meadows and woodlands full of golden swathes of daffodils. Magnolias and camellias were among the trees blossoming in the arboretum and the deep valley. A magnificent place at any time of year, Bodnant certainly starts the season brilliantly. Early rhododendrons gave a glimpse of the colourful glory that was now just weeks away.

It was the first time we had been to Bodnant so early in the year and were blown away by the masses of daffodils. They have some wonderful giant Sequoia near the river but sadly one was blown down during a winter storm. They are magnificent trees. Bodnant has many specimen trees that are really enjoyable to see.
