After I heard this song for the first time I literally shed a tear, it was so sad to hear something so BRILLIANT and to realise there won't be more than just an EP. RIP Alexi ❤ This song reminds me of early 2000s COB.
it sounds more pissed off than most the songs he wrote...not in a bad way, it just sounds very angry. Like the anger that the whole Bloodrunk album puts out, yet still very melodic
Blooddrunk felt unfocused. Alexi said it himself, "two broken bongs and far too many twelve packs went into that one." Out of all the albums, Blooddrunk was the most jarring, but familiar. Are You Dead Yet? was probably the biggest change in their sound, but it was solid. Anyway, I'm just happy that we got one last EP.
So mesmerizing video, includes rage but also Alexi's fragile eyes, and Daniel Freyberg told to Loudwire (if I understood right) that the video was shot just a couple days before Alexi left the building.
Idk why but BAM reminds me alot of early Skyfire + COB + Naildown which is a great and really well done fresh start it just proves how talented Alexi was as a musician and composer, RIP legend!
It took me about 5 attempts to listen to this song when it was first released, felt like a kick in the gut every time I tried. A fucking banger of a send off. Goosebumps honestly.
Very powerful song and video i love it. His scream is amazing and he looks like to enjoyed so mutch. Thanks Alexi, never forget that you were great and your music continue to exist!!!!
@@guimich2478 Have a nice Easter time if i don't make mistake about the day. Yes you told me about children of bodom in some old discussion, yes this EP it's the last from Alexi. This year started with 3 bad news, Alexi's death, Marco Hietala departure from NW and Charlotte Wessels and the other members who left from Delain. I hope to not have other bad news!! Be safe Gui,see you soon 😉!!!
I guess this is the word "bittersweet". They delivered even more than I expected and although everybody was looking forward to listening to Alexi last creative endeavor, all of the members were shining. The Drums nuances, jeez, what was that? I was excited to see Middy playing the bass too (since I've been following him since his days in Santa Cruz). If anyone was in doubt about what the.future of this new Bodom phase could have been they now understood that there was nothing left to measure up to the old days. It took me back to my first Bodom show in 2004. But now: Bodom Interrupted || Let's cherish the good memories though. This EP is his last gift to music history!
That's the greatest thing about good music and that it makes you want to listen to it more. I have the EP pre ordered and have listened to this on repeat as well. RIP Alexi Laiho.
A&P guys, you need to see ROOPE in your Finland trip!! Just talk to him MANO i MANO! Tell him there is lot's of fans wanting him to take that GUITAR and start ripping again!! 😁 He still has the muscle memory, few months train Rock ON!! Despite allmost decade not touching the guitar and drinking phase, he was such high level it's doable.. 👍🏻 I'm sure some of those FIN musicians you know knows Roope, go and cheer the man up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Man, I don't know if I'm ready to hear the EP. I have the box set pre-ordered from Napalm Records and I know sitting through the 3 songs will be hard emotionally
ive also been having this song on loop in repeat i can only imagine that paybacks a bitch is gonna have all the same feelings this song exceeded my expectations it felt like a song that wouldve fit right into there follower the reaper era in a way i loved every minute of the music video alexi still being bad ass :)
It's just such a banger i just wanted this to last like 5-10 years because Alexi is my idol and favorite guitarist in the hole world, it just sucks to know that Alexi is in heaven now and they don't continue this project/band without Alexi, Daniel Freyberg said that in a interview or in social media but we have to as a metal communitie to appreciate this and the next 2 songs as long we can remember and play these songs
Not directed to you particularly. The problem with these "reaction" videos is that they generally, and consistently forget the fact the man actually did everything for his music. Alexi. We will remember.
