The procedure itself is also described in the text:
We will need approximately 350 - 450 g for the cast of the hand up to the wrist (of an adult).
We will prepare the "bodycast" material, part A and B.
Remove the rings from the hand. Long nails must be shortened, because during the subsequent casting, not all the material will flow into these places - if you do not want to shorten the nails, the subsequent casting must be cleaned.
In the case of significant hair growth, we use a small amount of Vaseline, which will facilitate the removal of the impression/silicone.
Carefully mix component A and component B in a ratio of 1:1 in an amount of approximately ½ of the expected total ratio (if there is more, it does not matter if we mix less).
With a spatula/silicone spatula, we gradually apply it over the container (e.g. a plastic bowl) on the hand so that the "excess" material flows into the container, from where we wipe it again with the spatula and apply it to the hand again, until the consistency is such that the material no longer flows.
The fingers and hand must be set so that the cast can be pulled from the hand.
After it has slightly set/hardened, we repeat the whole procedure again with the other ½ of the remaining material.
After the material has dried for approximately 45 minutes (the time depends on several factors: the temperature in the room - heat accelerates drying/cold prolongs it, the temperature of the material itself) gradually remove the form from the hand.
If the mold seems thin and subsequent casting could deform it in a certain position, we can stabilize it with a plaster bandage before actually removing it from the hand.
Subsequently, we can pour the mold with, for example, the product Gaform R30.
