Heavy metal is Kiss and Manowar, which is pretty mild. This is more trash metal in the likes of metallica in those years. Not sure why people call it "heavy"...
Epic drums - check Epic bass - check Epic guitars - check Epic vocals - check Rowdy pit in the crowd - check Its official. I wish I was in that crowd hearing these guys in action
Jeebuz, it's 17 years since I saw Body Count in England, 17.. Ice-T did a 60-mins rap set, and then did about 90mins of Body Count straight afterwards. In the break between the two sets, he basically stayed on stage and did what can only be described as top quality stand-up. Top drawer entertainment, brutal.
Were Public Enemy on the bill by any chance ??? I can't remember where the festival was, there was no way i was going to miss those three legends. Any chance you can remember where the festival was??? Burton on Trent possibly??? Great day.

geezus the primal, raw, fucking energy these cats brought - pure, high powered, thrash fueled, groove metal at it's finest. AND the musician chops to match. lucky enough to have seen body count after the first album drop - all the respect to ice-t and the boys (past & present) for leaving it all on stage. body mother fucking count! ⚡️♠️🖤🤘🎸🎤🔥
I remember Ice-T defending this on Oprah and Donahue back then too. Every BC album is fuckin bad ass! I was 16 when they first broke out in '91 and I just saw them at Mayhem Fest the year before last!!!
These guys aren't just some band a rapper wanted to make to sound cool they are full of so much talent and love and u can hear it in all of their songs they are a fantastic metal band with lots of inspiration of slayer, sabbath, Motörhead, and Suicidal Tendencies not just a Nü-metal band
@@elliehope266 nah bro, they’re main genre is hardcore but then they mix thrash, black sabbath, etc in the instrumentals but the main genre is hardcore and you can see that in there goes the neighbourhood, cop killer, body count, kkk bitch etc
Fearsome stuff. Got the album with the now deleted "Cop Killer" in 1992, and thought it was great. Ice T was also responsible for one of the greatest rap/metal crossovers with "Midnight", on his brilliant "OG" set a year earlier. Body Count are up there with Bad Brains, Death and Living Colour for sheer power and intensity. Wow !
Ice-T is such an OG that he transcends genres and rises above the "this ain't rap" bullshit argument not like he gives a fuck what anyone thinks anyways. Mad fuckin respect for T! And Body Count is the shit!

Im 47 years old and have alwayz been a fan of BODY COUNT for a long time. And without a shadow of a doubt in my heavy extreme metal n heavy music heart love to see BODY COUNT live. Greetings from Pittsburgh Pa USA
I still remember clearly the exact day when I listened for the first time in the radio. My uncle was talking to me and I couldn't get any single word he said. "Body Count is tha house" invaded my ears and I thought: "That's what I was looking for"
This isn't even as heavy as the lighter stuff I listen to, but it's not bad at all. And extra credit to them for using a double bass drum over a double bass pedal. Extra props in my book.
Mike Greenwalt well anyone can have two kick drums, even punk bands can simulate the sound while playing fast with one kick so them being a metal band and having two kicks isn't surprising. but if you would've read it properly, i was commenting on you saying they aren't heavy. go to one of their shows. they're playing the mayhem festival this year. go to that and tell me they aren't heavy. that's why i assumed, i guess incorrectly now, you were only into death metal.
And I was commenting about the idiotic assumptions about my character. "Oh, he doesn't think they're that heavy. Must be some metal elitist that only likes a certain genre." If Mayhem Fest's lineup wasn't complete shit aside from these guys and a couple others, I'd consider going. And yes, plenty of bands use the double kick, but for ease of packing and carrying, just stick to the pedal. I didn't bash the band in the slightest and you're defending them for something I never did. And you automatically assume by heavy I mean death growls. Cute. Go listen to Seventh Wonder. Heavy prog, no growls. For the record, my band is doom, not death. And most of what I listen to these days ranges from power and symphonic to melodeath. I don't wander into the extreme stuff too often.
THUMB THIS UP! 1. Body Count's N Tha House 2. Body M.F. Count 3. Masters of Revenge 4. Killin Floor 5. Bowels of the Devil 6. On with the Body Count 7. Murder for Hire 8. KKK Bitch 9. Drive By 10. Voodoo 11. There Goes the Neighborhood 12. Evil Dick 13. Last Breath 14. Surviving the Game 15. Bring it to Pain 16. Cop Killer 17. Mama's Got 2 Die 2 Nite
Ernie C would get a gig with any metal band worth their salt and day of the week - outstanding. Hendrix lives on - self-taught and left-handed to boot. My tastes go more to vintage and melodeath than hardcore/speed metal but this is fantastic.
Ice-T is a brilliant performer & singer/rapper and Body Count are a genuinely great band. Thanks for the upload Gustavo. And just for the few people that mention it in their comments, there are many Hip-Hop artists that use a full band when playing live, just as there are other artists that you might call proper musicians that use all the electronic gizmos they want in the studio, so please don't dismiss a style of music entirely because of a perception that just isn't correct. End of rant.
Six years after your comment and your right even more. In 2019 it seemed like the "rock" bands were soft and the hip hop and r and b folks were nailing it.
I have to disagree in one thing: this is not hip hop. This is METAL! So Ice-T is a brilliant metal singer, when in Bodycount. But hey, congrats on your great taste of music, my friend.
Historically this band is really important to the punk/metal/rap community in LA in the late 80's early 90's. You guys need to listen to Ice T's lyrics on the whole album.. Really political and he had a lot to say. No band like this for its time, not even Suicidal. For you guys only focusing on the metal aspect of this are totally missing the entire mission statement of this group.

Amazing sound and astonishing performance! True agression and musical passion! T and guys did great!
Gary from exodus digs these dudes , thats good enough for me . Love the Raiders logos everywhere. Metal and the silver n black dont get tougher then that .
Wtf ! Why did i never give this stuff a listen as a young metalhead years ago ? This stuff rules !!! Body Count, for 5 years, has had Juan Garcia as a guitar player, check out his work in the 80s with Agent Steel😃 ... by the way, who is Bendrix ? He's doing an awesome job in here, but i can't find his work outside of this gig; and i would love to, he's amazing😃
What an Fuckin' Amazing performance!! Bodycount absolutely Rocks!! Seen them in camden!! Great Show!! Keep it up and coming!! Congratulations on the grammy! You guys so deserved it!! Long overdue!! Peace Miss Jen Molloy one fellow musician to another!!
Got to love Body Count, One of the main reasons for the Parental Advisory Explicit labels You see everyday on albums etc.... If it wasn't for Groups like Body Count back in the 80's-90's there may not be that little label everyone is so use to seeing. This puts BODY COUNT in the same category as classics such as N.W.A. & 2 Live Crew. Don't forget the brothers who brought you the littl black and white stickers that are now just printed on Album covers!!! LONG LIVE -T-
Just saw Body Count (had never heard of them) at the Forum in LA opening inside for Ozzfest NYE 2019. Excellent band! They got all the applause and enthusiasm that Manson, Zombie, and Ozzy got. Bravo! I will be spreading the word. Right on, man. (When Black Sabbath debuted I was in high school, Headbanger's Ball in the 80's, been a hard rock/metal solid fan...and now after discovering another group of us that had been around for 27 years, and I never knew ....I feel 20 years younger! Then, I Wikipedia Ice-T(who I had obviously heard of) and saw he was one year behind me and grew up in the town next to me: Summit, NJ. (Chatham, NJ) These guys just debuted my chart near the top. It took me almost the whole show to type this cuz I kept stopping to listen and BANG MY HEAD!!
been a fan of BODY COUNT since day one and ice has not tempered his rage by a long shot. actually own this dvd after watching this youtube video. kickass show. any fans of BODY COUNT should check out the MANSLAUGHTER album. problably their best work to date BODY MF COUNT!!!!!!
.fortyfour yeah, what do you think is a good band, ice .t and body count have been around for 27 years on and off so what your ass thinks is irrelevant. who cares.
craig strachan I know how long they have been around. I saw them a couple times during their cop killer days. They suck ass. A lot of suck ass bands have been around for 27 years , and longer. If Ice-T relied on Bodyy Count for his cheese, he would be living on the street begging for change. Screaming "MURDA".."MURDA...MURDA!" doesn't mean talent. I am sure you [don't] know that though.
.fortyfour hey bro that's your opinion and you are entitled to it(even if it's full of shit) ice has got more street cred in his little finger than you got in your body , hell I problably have more street cred than you. the fact ice is still doin it at age 57 and kickin' ass he's definitely got my respect and i'll leave it at that. you can have your so called little opinion and whatnot. WHATEVER.
craig strachan Are you kidding me? who wants "street cred"! loser. He diidn't get his money from Body count, that is for sure. Body count is nothing but a hobby for him. You and your street cred ..LMFAO. His original band members had street cred. That is why they are all dead. And don't call me "bro". I am not your bro.
Never saw BC live...this is truly impressive. I am a Classically trained Vocalist/Percussionist. I put these guys up right with Metallica/Anthrax...etc.
