I was in that crowd, the show was canceled due to James Hatfield getting burned in Montreal. The riots darn near broke out here cause Axle Rose kept waking off stage. Apparently his voice was giving out, it was very obvious. I love Body Count and was great to see that show when ICE -T was still really aggressive... miss the 90's...
Body Count was one of exactly two bands that **really** pissed my parents off as a kid. Them and the Dead Kennedys. I'm sure Ice and Jello would both think, "Job well done!".
Just saw Body Count in Anaheim last night, 5/22/24. They STILL HOLD IT DOWN!! Ernie C is an epic guitarist and it was a dream come true to finally mosh to this heavy ass motherfuckin banger!
The way Ice T reached out to white kids about getting messed with by the cops for having long hair was brilliant. I'm glad he's living his best life and married to Coco.
This album was banned everywhere because of Cop killer, they had to come out with a version that didn't have it for it to sell in Canada. I had to go to a head shop that sold rare and live albums and paid $50 which was a lot back then for the version with cop killer
With All Of The Brutality That’s Going On Around Just About Everywhere These Days . . . It’s Hard Not To Find This Statement / Song Admirable ., Yesterday I Heard That Another One Of My Peoples Life Was Taken By The Cops !!!!! When Its Unnecessary . . . It’s So Upsetting ., Which Reminds Me Of The Ol’ Saying , “ I Don’t Get Mad . . . I Get Even . “ ICE CLEARLY EXPLAINS IT ALL IN THE INTRO OF THIS SONG !!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
@@nightmaster5593 I was there also. According to setlistFM, the second song was So Fine. I do remember them playing that very early in the set. Slash also did his solo early. Axl was a mess that night
I LOVE THIS!!! I LOVE current Body Count, but RIP Beatmaster V, Mooseman and The Executioner. I LOVED the Violent Demise album. The only album I didn't really like is Murder 4 Hire.
It is basically hardcore punk or a crossover between punk rock and thrash metal. That being said, hip hop and punk rock have a lot in common when it comes to their sociological/socioeconomic roots and how they evolved.
I WAS THERE! BC RULES! That was the show where Barry Fey vehemently threatened Axl (allegedly) for trying to leave the stadium before the 2nd fkn song of their set.
@@tds6123 You're denying he played a cop on Law & Order TV show for years & stopped supporting victims of police brutality 🙄 When that actually happened & most people mid 40s into their 60s know it.
This song was so controversial when it dropped, the record label banned it. It only appeared on some of the earliest pressings which were almost impossible to find. Unless you saw it live or your buddy had a bootleg, you never heard it, but you certainly heard ABOUT it. This song should be a point of discussion for every teacher who is explaining the US Constitution First Amendment (1A).
@magnusulysses8896 Only because of ignorant people like you, who listen to too much black hate rap "music" and watch too much tv. No white person ever did anything to you boy.
I was there! One of the high points of my high school years! GnR sucked but when we found out BV was replacing Faith No More on the tour we were all theilled!
@miketexas4549 Black Album was still good. While it might have been a "writing on the wall" type album, it was still a good Metal album. Even the Load/Reload era while not what true Metallica fans wanted to hear, was well done hard rock. Unfortunately when Metallica attempted to return to Metal they hsd lost their ability to write material in the caliber of their first 5 albums.
@IndianaChad yeah it was good, James was in a bandage so he only sang until the end then he played guitar.. I was bummed the show was canceled due to James getting burned but thankfully it didn't end his playing guitar days! So Body Count was awesome and Metallica was great but Axle kept walking off stage the crowd was booin I though there was gona be a riot at Mile High Stadium lol
I had the original disc before the tat on the cover character was changed from "cop killer" to "body count." I lol at lyrics..."black shirt, black gloves, ski mask" he has literally none of thise on😂 dam i miss the 90s Evil Dick always makes me lol
@@karlhans6678 Look back on his whole discography. Cop hater. Now he's a sellout pig on tv. Ironic. A white guy would have been burned at the stake for what Ice T and Ice Cube did.
