I had never given it a thought before a date during my early 20's told me I look scary when I smile because my eyes never change. Not only is it one of my greatest embarrassments for never noticing, but it's also the toughest thing for me to copy. I find it much more difficult than other social gestures. My father that's also diagnosed, seems to do it naturally. He is also a lot more violent.

2:21 you can also visibly see the frustration in Arthur's body language when Randell insults Gary. The way he pushes his arms against the walls

I absolutely love these videos. My only critique is your reference to Arthur's laughs as "fake". There is a condition known as Pseudobulbar Affect that is never explicitly named in the movie; but in the bus scene, he shows a card that lets the woman know that he is laughing out of discomfort. He laughs this way throughout the film, and I don't think this scene is an exception either.

Phoenix did well and he even did small signs to really sell this character. But I don't think a lot of people realized this without this video spelling it out for them.

You can also see Gary's eyes shoot back and forth from Randall to Arthur showing both his morbid curiosity and his caution and terror with Arthur that has now built up in him.

i think this is part of the reason this scene is so unnerving, because of how real it looks and feels like you can feel the tension and subconsciously tell that its wrong
