@@dravengrey1347 5’10 is also not small. I’m 5’8” and use this same principle and it applies, never been started on in my life anytime I’ve had a situation I started it so tbh he is right but it probably works a lot better for them two because of their size.
One time I was with my (ex) girlfriend (over for 2 weeks now sad enough but ok) at this music festival with her and some friends. My girl was at the lockers with a girlfriend getting something out of the lockers. I went there to check if she was ok, then I saw a guy talking to her. He was trying to fix her / get aquinted. So I believe I asked her if she was okay and if she was coming. We walked off a little, but he continued to talk to her, I heard him say something like :"but you're how are you with this guy?? I can take care of you better" something like that.. I acted a little like a didn't hear it and slowly walked together with the other girl. She reacted with something like: "ehm yes he is my boyfriend?!" Shortly after he walked off. In hindsight I should have confronted him or did something. Felt like punching the shit out of him. But I didnt do that, I didn't want to start a fight either over some moron. Also knowing he didn't have any chance and my girl would dismiss him. I also trusted her, and it was a bald short macho idiot so yea.. Furthermore, I am not particularily buffed or a fighter by any means. A fight could have probably ruined me or the whole day. Anyway he went away and I talked it over with my girl what of a baffoon he was. But I still get angry and feel like a wimp when I think about it. What should I have done? Perhaps like Tristan says, just address him and give him a handshake, look at him, ask who he is and confirm him she's with me. At least I should have reacted when he said that. In the future when something like that ever happens, I want to be ready to do the right (manly) thing. At the moment it felt like a moron like that is not worth fighting over. At the end I went home with her anyway and had a little sex in the dixi I believe lol. But still regret that moment.
I'm 5 foot 7 and live in a "dangerous" area my entire life... when at the ATM I've had much bigger dudes, albeit fat.. stand behind me menacingly and size me up, as long as you make it clear you can and will fight for it, most people will leave you alone. Obviously if there's more than one person or you are walking alone in the dark for example all of this goes out of the window. Mind you I actively train to fight so I genuinely was not worried about a fat dude trying to fight me. I like to think of it as tapping into your animal side, we all have the capacity to be insane and kill someone, carry that energy in your back pocket like a chained dog.
