It might be silly to admit, but this video made me teary eyed. I can empathize with Gail wanting to "hide" under baggy clothes. She looks stunning in the outfits you put on her. Such a good lesson, and I loved hearing Gail say that she isn't as big as she thought she was. Great job, as always, Melissa!

I'm a petite hourglass with a bit of a middle aged middle. I've learned to tuck and/or belt and go with shorter and fitted. Love shoulder details and open-necked tops and flared high-waisted bottoms. I wish more women could be convinced not to hide behind long and baggy clothes. They would looks so much better if they followed the advice in this video!

Your genuine, natural warmth and empathy are palpable and are clearly combined with real expertise. I see as Melissa start showing positive traits in customer’s body, their face lights up and a lot them hear it in disbelief. This clothing industry has done so much damage for leverage average middle aged women by using super thin perfect models that it’s beyond comprehension. Love the styling and the end product

Don’t feel silly, we all have our challenges. You are beautiful and probably finding great pieces. We all need a little help at times. I’m 5’9” (US feet and inches) classic pear. And have a closet full of things that don’t work for me. I’m going to watch all of these great videos and redo my wardrobe. 😁

Thank you for reminding us that it’s not us, it’s the stores! I think most women get so frustrated with shopping, because we have an idea of what are size is in our mind, and then when we try it on, and it doesn’t fit, we personalize that and feel shame… then we go back to the clothes we already have because it’s more comfortable! BUY WHAT FITS AND SHOW OFF THOSE CURVES!

She's beautiful!!!! and with the clothes you styled for her she looked stunning! if she has a tummy, lumps or bumps they were not noticeable, with the new clothes she looks wonderful. no need to hide things, but styling them correctly is the key. We all have tummies, bumps and lumps. 99% of us ☺

Hi Melissa as usual you are a magician. Gail is beautiful. She reminds me in my younger days. I always wore clothes that were too big. I so agree with you that sizes are crazy. That first outfit was such a good starting point and Gail lit up and immediately felt more confident in your abilities. I enjoyed this so much. I think Gail will actually be more confident to shop herself later, when she needs more clothes. I love you got your second piercing. I have had mine forever, but just recently started using it more. Nice finds! It made me want to point out the value of alterations. They sharpen the appearance so much Pants, jeans and skirts are usually easy to hem to the correct length. If the fabric is washable, definitely wash the garment before hemming to get rid of most of the shrinkage! You don't want to lose 1-2 cm after you've chosen the perfect length. I'd get the blazer sleeves professionally shortened; money well spent.

I also am petite with a tummy and I only wear high waisted pants now. They slim my waist tremendously. I’ve also gotten more knit tops that fit closer to my body. My husband says I look great ❤❤❤

Fascinating to see your process pretty much from start to finish. I like how you keep your client focused, taking regular reality checks to make sure the pieces work together and fit the lifestyle. Do you ever get clients who fall in love with a garment you know they will rarely wear? How do you deal with it?

I start by understanding their lifestyle and then with that knowledge I present relevant clothes to them so if I know they won’t get a chance to wear something then I wouldn’t present it to them in the first place.
