Too many rotten apples that need to go. Unfortunately, they are being protected by other rotten apples. Psychopathic officers are becoming more brazen. It is becoming harder to trust police officers. A person losing their life is not a laughing matter.

Irregardless of your knowledge or lack thereof, Satan as it were isn't about human sacrifice no matter what hollyweird tries to portray. True Satanism is worship of the self or more exactly worship of the human condition. The gods created man in their image and in their likeness. Therefore in that sphere of worship the human is the epitome of God's creations because we are as they are.
The fact that he felt comfortable laughing and joking with other cops about this sends a clear message that this is the norm in police culture. He just forgot to turn off the body cam.

Good cops don't stay. Bad cops become the guys in charge. Bad cops drive good cops out. The mentality of a person to desire to become a cop must be nefarious.
@@KatherineLaura6564 I've considered that. I thought that if I filled a slot then there would be one less position available for corruption. I wouldn't last long because I believe fining people for victimless crimes (infractions) is extortion. Plus I'm a little old to start a new career. Cops my age are retiring soon.
LIMITED VALUE. For a 26 year old woman. “Write a check” he says. He says that because they are taught that they get away with everything because it’s US who have to foot that bill. They are NEVER held responsible. They are never on the line for any money - not even the lawyers representing them in court. Zero comes out of their pocket. That is all OUR money, from OUR taxes. Paying out the tens of millions in lawsuits on top of the hundreds of millions for their salaries and pensions. WHY DO WE ALLOW IT
I think I know why we allow it, we as a society have checked out on being authority figures. The average person doesn't even like getting on to their kids, much less grown adults behaving badly, so we have hired the only people left who have authoritarian personalities and those people are as bad as the criminals.
The average family was raised without the father and his discipline. You can thank the federal CPS/DFS cosigned by the state judiciary and legislators for wanting expanded powers. Immunities got us here, the removal of immunities and equal accountability will get us out.
That cop deserves jail for killing that girl doesn't matter law's are equal for everyone he hit her made fun of her death and expect he'd be in no concerns.
@@omannamwar3383 The one who made fun of her death was the vice president of the police union talking to the president about the matter. The cop who hit her was a younger cop who was going 74 on a 25 mph road and ran her over a cross walk. They aren't the same people. The guy who laughed will most likely go scott free.
Shocking, a psychopath on the police force. This is also an indirect indictment of qualified immunity. He laughs off the city payout for their mistakes. So lawsuits have zero deterrent on their personal behavior. To smack that laugh off him end qualified immunity and hit him personally with a lawsuit.
I don't think he was the officer who hit and killed the woman, this is from the following day, he's just having a good laugh about what happened. Removing qualified immunity would be a disaster for the citizenry, expect every screw up by an officer to be covered by made up charges, once they have the protection of QI removed they will find another way of protecting themselves from their mistakes.
No. It may have been a joke to two individuals in the Seattle PD. Let's not forget that we only know about this because an SPD employee flagged the recording and the SPD released it.

This is the kind of job where it’s almost impossible to get rid of someone completely once they’re in because of their union. “ She had limited value?” What kind of soul does this cop have, to say such a heartless comment? So devoid of compassion and remorse for a young woman’s life. That young woman’s life was valuable and she was a daughter who was loved by her parents and family. No amount of money can compensate for a life. RIP dear girl, a valuable life cut so short.😢
He's being ironic here; why is that point hard for people to grasp? That is how an insurance actuarial payment is determined.....what value was the life? I know people want to be angry, to believe this policeman was that heartless, but that's not the way it is.
That is a heartless and insensitive remark followed by his laughter. ..no normal person with compassion and love would react like that especially when you have taken a life accidentally or not. The immediate reaction would be shock and feeling sadness for what he did. Stop condoning and justifying his remark. Don’t come up with an excuse saying people have different ways of coping with trauma in reply to my comment.
As a retired Phoenix Police Officer there is no excuse for this kind of behavior from people we depend on. An innocent life was lost and its a shame. This puts a blemish on all Police Officers. Im so sorry this happened.
Suit yourself, but less and less Americans are thinking we can safely "depend on" any US police, anywhere. I certainly do not and at my home we no longer dial 911 or involve police in any way, they cannot be trusted at all any longer. Civilians get to deal with criminals AND lawless cops, how wonderful!

Yeah, the police department extends their sympathies... Right there on the tip of their middle finger. The fact that they keep this raging psychopath armed & free of the felonious charges he deserves is a middle finger presented to the entire country. Well, right back at you.
They likely cannot fire him anyway, unions and all. He didn't commit a firing offense for most jobs, even without unions. I agree, he should be fired in this case, but we are bound by laws here. His co-workers didn't do a single thing, his department of hundreds didn't have anything to do with this, so leave the department out of it. Black folks don't like it when you lump all black people together after a black-on-white crime on TV, for good reason, so let's not turn around and do the same thing to police officers.
Why would he go to jail he laughed at someone being killed he didn’t hit her or anything it was another police officer and I’m assuming that police officer was talking on the radio with the police officer who laughed at her. The most they would do is maybe fire him …

*"Fish rots from the head."* The laughing detective is the Vice-President of the Seattle Police Guild. What we say and do in private when no one else is listening or watching (thank goodness for video cameras) says a lot about who you are.
This is the kind of officer who will have no problem planting evidence, lying to protect fellow officers involved in wrongdoing, killing the innocent and brutalizing those he has sworn to protect and serve. The real crime here is that the higher ups still have him on the force. That speaks volumes.
The force that released the recording needs to be 'redesigned'? Wouldn't that just encourage other forces to continue sweeping their dirt under the carpet? Think a little about this.

That would imply that *all* police officers are sociopaths that need to loose their badge 2. Alllowing them to stay "for the greater good" or something, just makes the police force into an ineffective, corrupt and criminal organisation. Such an force would not and could not protect "order" or "civilisation", it would be too busy serving its own interests. Plenty of countries have an police force on paper, only to have it so utterly corrupt in nature that its a complete joke and at least as bad as violent gangs in these countries. 3. Either train officers properly and filter the criminals and sociopaths out before they take the badge or do it after they expose themselves. But you'll need to do it. And in reality you'll need to do both. 4. Officers wield a lot of authority, disgretion and force. Their misstakes and their behavior have an higher impact as well. So the standards have to be higher then to your average citizen and the rules strict.
