They just slapped a bunch of Quixel assets together, turned on nanite on the meshes, bought some multiplayer FPS controller off the UE marketplace, added insane lerping to the camera and some lens effects and called it a day.

While I do agree with the general thesis, let's be real for a moment. The 1650 is an awful card and was horrible even back when it was first released. I feel deeply sorry for all people who are still stuck with this joke of a GPU.

Dude, this game is nothing more than a tech demo pushed into "eArLy aCcEsS". Optimization usually comes at the end of the game development cycle, these guys haven't even started to develop the game... Bro needs to learn how game development works, before bro is making great claims on the internet about it.

As it stands the "game" is nothing more than a tech demo, read steam reviews, there's tons of users complaining about the game being just a skeleton of a game, full of bugs and glitches and little content. In other words: The game development hasn't progressed much at all. The first WOW effect wears off rather quickly and then you see the "game" for what it is, nothing more than a tech demo. Hence it's rather comical if people whine about bad optimization.

If you're here to buy this game let me save you 30$. First of all I'm so tired of this industry releasing a bare bone demo and calling it "early access" to give an excuse. Second of all the game is a barebone and it's really poorly optimized and last thing the anti cheats sucks in this game. If you don't believe me then time will tell when you and your whole team getting aimbotted with just one shot.

My 1050ti can still run Cyberpunk surprisingly well at mostly high settings but I gotta use FSR 2.0 and the Frame Gen mod with the resolution on 720. Game plays at 40 to 70 FPS at all times never dropping past that minimum. This game would probably make my GPU explode though lol.

@@Ciffer-1998 It looks worse on low with 1080 BC the lighting and textures look like dogshit on the lowest settings. With low 1080, the clearer resolution makes all the lower graphical settings super noticeable. I CAN play on 1080 without it lagging constantly but my game doesn’t stay consistently within the 40 to 60 range and dips substantially which sucks BC consistent minor frame dips are vastly more noticeable in Cyberpunk than in other games where I experience similar dips to FPS.

@@Ciffer-1998 Also some of the mods I use require the textures to remain on high to function properly but I will say that it looks better in 1080 with all the settings on high or high to medium and a few lows like crowd density. My FSR also doesn’t pixelate very often unlike in this video.

Can you try the legendary GTX 1080ti on Bodycam? Considering the recommended GPU requirement on steam is an rtx 3060 or 6600xt, the 1080ti fits in between in terms of performance and it would be nice to see how the once top of the line gaming card 7 years ago fairs in games released in 2024.

With an r9 290 you also have 20fps on the bush map, BUT you can play at 45/50fps (medium) on the other maps (no frame generation).

Spare pc with WX 4100 (RX 460 4GB pretty much). I've been looking at old reviews to find what I can run on it; Crysis 3 and Star wars battlefront 2 looked better than this to me and run far better. What's going on with modern games. $700 is entry level and you still get stutters. lmao.

@@KrakenX07 Guess art is subjective. Not a fan of UE5 post processing used in Bodycam and Hellbade 2. The chromatic aberration used in particular is offputting to me. Lumen also seems to have lightning issues. I recently saw the forest areas of SW Battlefront and Crysis 3 and thought they looked better at least in motion. Bodycam is impressive for being a 2 person dev team though.

This is an early access game developed by 2 French brothers one who is 17 years old and the other is 20. The game is supposed to push the boundaries of photo realism. Obviously it won’t be optimized for over decade old cards.
