This is an excellent functional mobility screen. Which, sadly, I fail terribly. It will be many months before I can “assume the position”, but I will commit to yet another Mark Wildman protocol, as he has been transformative for me over the past two years. Merry Christmas everyone
Thanks, Mark This video was awesome. I was wondering how all these movements fit together. Thanks again for all the effort that you put into your channel and have a good holiday!
Thanks very much, Mark. I have transverse bilateral scoliosis, and (at 51) plenty of gnarly arthritic changes to my lower spine from living with it. Your hip mobility exercises for low back relief have already started helping my daily pain level, and this looks like a natural progression from those. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Mark, question re equestrian issue. I need excercises for increasing inner thigh strength to grip horse better (not fall off!). We think you are terrific and doing God's work re sharing your knowledge. Merry Christmas to you and family!
what kind of riding... general answer. kb swings, kb clean and press, ( build the posterior chain endurance for riding).. club inside and outside circles, club inside and outside pendulum. (each one of these fires the inner thigh on every rep is series)... do frog stretch after riding to counteract the inner thigh contraction.
@@bradolson1455 definitely heavy club inside pendulums, outside pendulums, single arm and 2 hand varieties, and alt pendulums. that would certainly set you on the right path for reining.
Question: you went from being on your knees to sitting back on your heel in the rock bottom hunter squat position. But it seems like you were already there. I have to actively lower my butt back down. Am I missing something?
All this farming scenery and no mention of farming. It’s got me wondering, is it just a set and props? Or are you actually farming? No one gets into farming these days for the money, especially not people who are successful in their other careers.. I’m really hoping that if you’re farming you’re not going to do the classic corn and soy route and not eat a single bite of food that you grow.. I too am in the process of buying some farm land. I hope to hear soon about your no till beyond organic, regenerative multi species farm. I’m tuning in to hear more about that all. Exercise is a big part of a healthy lifestyle but in my opinion it has nothing on being truly nourished and having solid mental health, farming right is step one for true nourishment.
@@MarkWildman ahh, I only tune in occasionally. Sorry to hear about all the health issues. Sounds like chronic stuff. I’m sure you know some about diet and environmental health but pesticides and low nutritional density food are some often overlooked factors. It would be super cool to see you on the regenerative/ high nutrient density bandwagon. Low chemical high nutrient foods are in my opinion the most healing thing and the lack of them is behind a lot of the western disease epidemic. Pesticides heavily regulate epi genetic expression, so do minerals which have been mined from the soil and replaced with npk for fast growth. Maybe I’m preaching to the choir, but most likely you guys are monocropped, tilled and sprayed.. even if organic that shits still bad. I’d love to share my perspective with you, I’m likely going to be doing a podcast on health soon, my background is movement based but I’m realizing how much more important food and mental health are so I’m trying to do more of a big picture style interview where we talk about mindset as the overarching factor to health that drives nutrition and movement and how the three things play off each other.
