Beautiful images of old glory days at Ostend airport. I was lucky enough to land on board of an Air Memphis 707 SU-PBB in May 1997, flight originated from Cairo and carried a full load of beans. I witnessed the landing from the jumpseat behind the pilots, it was great to see the approach into the airport and the touchdown, which was pretty hard. We had in fact 2 captains on that flight, one who had to qualify for his licence and one supervising captain.
@@patrickvereecke6654 Yeah sadly not many 707s nowadays. It’s a beautiful thing and I also have a thing for retro aircraft such as this, especially Soviet aircraft however they are not as scarce as 707s. Sad reality of aviation is that in some 40 years the a340 will also have the 707 status, retired and very rare and considered retro. 😁
