Steve Thirkettle former British Airways Boeing 747 Flight Engineer takes a walk around of a Boeing 747-436 and describes a typical pre-flight external check. Steve flew on the Boeing 747-136 and 236’s for British airways starting in the 1970’s. The 747-436 never carried a Flight Engineer but Steve takes you through how he would conduct a walk around on a classic 747.
