Boeing 767 cargo plane lands on nose after landing gear failure

A Fed-ex cargo plane had a rough arrival at Istanbul Airport on Wednesday, after its front landing gear failed to open, leading the aircraft to land on its nose, causing sparks to fly.
The Boeing 767 touched down in Turkey’s capital after crew members informed traffic control that its front wheels would not deploy.
No one was injured in the emergency landing, but smoke billowed as the nose of the plane scraped along the runway. The pilot was forced to climb out of the plane’s front windows.

Besides, two whistle blowers from boeing came out and mentioned the company is skipping corners sacrificing safety for profits. The whole "if its boeing, I ain't going " is not a sentiment that came from only one employee. Look up the quoted phrase. P. S both whistle blowers passed away under unusual circumstances.

20yrs old is somewhat average for a plane, that's not remarkable. It's more likely to have something to do with poor maintenance than it is to do with Boeing themselves.

Great pilots; appears to be no injuries or deaths. Looks like a great job by the crew. No fire. No explosion, just a semi crash landing. So for all you “know nothings” who are ready to blame Boeing - we have no idea how old the plane is. We don’t know how maintenance has been handled. Simply put- before you judge do your homework.

There hasn’t been a major airline crash in the USA in almost two decades. Despite the insane amount of flights occuring. The only death that’s really occurred in that span on a commercial jetliner was the last sucked out the window a few years back when it broke. It literally pathetic the fear mongering and disinformation going on with Boeings safety. Literally I feel less safe driving down the interstate almost daily.

"That’s exactly what happened with two recent Boeing 737 Max crashes, which led to the deaths of 346 total people. The first crash happened in October 2018 when Lion Air Flight 610 crashed 13 minutes after takeoff and killed all 189 people on board. Then, in March 2019, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed and ended another 157 lives. Three days after the second crash, the United States government grounded all Boeing 737 Max airplanes. As I write this, the airplane is still barred from flying in every country."
