A slightly different style of video here with all the focus going on one aircraft and a few other effects added in there too.
The Boeing 767 was developed in 1981 making it Boeing's first wide-body twinjet. It was deservedly the first twinjet wide-body type to reach 1,000 aircraft deliveries. 12 of these Boeing 767s belong to Star Air (Maersk) operating Cargo runs out of Cologne Bonn Airport, Germany. One of the routes from Cologne is to East Midlands Airport (EMA/EGNX) in central England. This is where I filmed this footage, taken on the 31st May 2013.
This production shows the 767 with registration OY-SRJ being pushed back to face us; quite an intimidating sight! Shortly after the pilots check the flight controls before turning the taxi light on and powering up to taxi out of the East Apron. The 21 year old aircraft then taxies right past us and lines up on runway 27. Without any delay, it throttles up and within 25 seconds it is up in the air. Notice the steep climb rate, possible due to the awesome power of the 767s engines!
You guys showed great support on Part 1 of GVA Airport Spotting, Part 2 will be up soon. Have a good week guys!
