Since a little while i als have one Bogasing G4; It's hard to imagine how much bass this size of speaker can give; The 3D-effect works very well in combination with a projector screen of about 80 inch, screen filling and spacious sound; sometimes the sound goes about two metres from the speaker. And when it comes to the sound: it is very natural; and adding an extra speaker seems to make the sound even better/bigger. in the first hours of use voices sometimes sound a bit thin, but it becomes surely better
Hi Alan, thank you for your videos, I love them and I learn a lot! I have a doubt, between the Bogasing G4 and the soundcore motion 300, which one would you choose? Any other worth looking at in that price range and sizes? Thanks again!
Thanks Alan for the wonderful live session, detailed video as usual, it's quite interesting, entertaining, educating & much more Pls Alan, i know you don't have much time especially for very small speakers, the newly released JBL clip 5 vs other speakers in its categories will be an interesting one, I've watched all your videos of this year's releases & comparisons, the boom 2, wking x20....& waiting for more More power to you! Cheers!!
Yes, it holds on to bass. My issue with it is that it holds in to even more treble. 😖 I can see how it could be a good small sized inexpensive choice for high volume outside, though. Thank you for another outstanding review, Alan! 😁👍👏
Yeah Alan, I don’t know about the 50 watt rating either. I compared it to my charge 5 & I’d say it’s every bit of 40 watts. It didn’t sound better than the charge 5, but it was every bit as loud.
Thanks for your hard work and good in depth review Alan. This clearly shows that you get what you pay for with budget speakers. For my ear the boost is the least offensive, the rest make my ears bleed for those boosts Hi’s
@@alanrossreviews My problem is I connect the tws mode to the motion plus and I can only put them about 2 meters away, otherwise the signal is cut off and the smartphone also can't get very far away, can you tell me which firmware is best?
Hi Alan, nice informative review as always. How does the W King D320 compare to the Earfun Uboom L, Xsound Plus 2, and Soundcore Motion+ and Motion Boom? Cheers
What's up Alan? I've been waiting for you to review the Bogasing G4. It's a good little speaker that packs a punch, has a good battery life, & a nice & durable rubberized build. I mentioned to you about reviewing this speaker about a week or two ago, I'm glad that you finally got to it. I liked how the first one that I ordered sounded, so I ordered another to pair together in TWS. I haven't regretted it one bit. Would I take one of these over a JBL CHARGE 5? No, I wouldn't. At the same time for the price of $100.00 or so, I definitely take 2 of these over 1 CHARGE 5 with money to spare. There are 3 sound modes: 3D STEREO ( blue light ) vocal. ( red light ) super bass ( green light ). I prefer the 3D STEREO mode, which offers a nice, balanced sound, without compromising mids, highs, & or bass.
Waiting for this as well. Though based on this video the xsound plus 2 can compete, hope Alan use his own EQ on this video. It's soon good. I've been using that. It's a game changer.
I already bought the speaker. The greats-kingX20 thanks to your videos I don't need more but I can't stop watching your videos, you are the master on this subject. M8. Great job
That one PR on the M4 looks way too small, considering the drivers it uses . I wouldn't be surprised if it's a source of the distortion that you were hearing at bass frequencies. All of these small stereo BT speakers will need a bit of a boost at high frequencies, for reasons we've discussed before (power response and how uncorrelated audio signals sum), otherwise they will sound as dull as the Boost does. They all sound horrible at max volume, LOL (not surprising, because they all likely roll back any EQ at that level), so it's just a question of what level of horribleness the listener is prepared to deal with. I know the UBL's firmware rolls back the bass pretty quickly to avoid audible distortion and it could have allowed a bit more through (but not as much as the v5.0 firmware does) and still not end up with a bad-sounding speaker. Unfortunately that peak in the treble makes it unlistenable for me at 100% volume, and that's with my 59-year old years :-). I see you use what looks like REW for your measurements. I'm think I'm going to put in a request to include uncorrelated stereo pink noise as a test signal, just for these stereo BT speakers (ok, for any system that involves the use of stereo speakers that are close together), because I think the result will provide a better indication of what their tone would really be like at lower levels where their DSP has hopefully been tuned to get the best response out of the speakers.
i think the boost is more at the lower frequencies to be honest, at this simply dont produce bass, it has to be boosted and given the price the drivers simply cant take that boost. i always said their is a decent tuning for all to be had with the uboom but none of the firmwares for me hits it just right. its the mids where it excels but most people buying these sorts of speakers don't care about mids. yes i agree i dont like a sizzly high end, keep it smooth and play nice with my tinnitus 😜 i use rew mostly for display of results. i already test with uncorrelated stereo pink noise. Sine wave more suited to room eq but i use both, they both have pluses and minuses.
Too bright for me. Bright speakers seems to have too much representation (no matter the price). I am disappointed as someone who like warm sound signatures 😭
MAn stop please, i found you a couple days ago, and i just can't stop watching ur reviews, Excellent format, excellent information. Alan, i'm not an audiophile like you, i just like listen to music ocasionally and watching movies pairing the speaker to my projector, i like the stereo sound by pairing speakers in TWS mode. you have recommended me already the Stormbox blast and the stormbox pro in other videos, thing that I appreciated a lot, many thanks again. However, the cost of both articles and the extra cost of shipping to my country are very expensive due to the total weight of stormbox blast or two stormbox pro. Having said that, i want to know, if i have a budget of 100-110 USD maximum, what pair of speakers would you recommend me, between Stormbox 2, W-king D320 and Bogaasing G4. I can afford a pair of any of them on special discount days, cause like i said saddly my budget is at maximum 110 USD and i like the TWS sound and because one is for me and the other tomy GF. And like i said before, i'm not an expert in audio or an audiophile i just enjoy good loud sound with no distorssion or minimum distorssion, specially for watching movies. i was reading that Bogasing are make by the same Company that make W-king, and you mention something related to that in the video. As always, thank you for your detailed and fun reviews Alan, you are the best in this out there! greetings from Bogotá-Colombia.
