Arrangement by Edgar Cruz - from his Queen for Fingerstyle Guitar DVD. I'm not claiming to be a virtuoso - I'm just showing off Edgar's work. The magic is in the arrangement.
Well this is the Edgar Cruz version. He's the one who created the finger style. You should check him out. This guy should accredit Edgar Cruz for creating this guitar version.
It's been years. I remember when the top comment was "I like your TV" because wide screen flat TVs were a new thing back then... It's been so long... I wonder if that plant got bigger. I wonder if you've been well. I still love to hear this played by you, with every imperfection, every missed tempo. So unique. Thank you!
I think I saw this video for the first time shortly after its release. Then, one day, I was not able to find it back. Thought it was removed for copyrights reasons. And today, I just remembered this video and how good it was and wondered whether it would have been put back online. And HERE IT IS :) Just as amazing as I remembered it. It just made my day, it's undoubtedly one of the best vids on RU-vid.
Your sense of touch and skill with separate voicings, as a guitarist, are excellent, in general. But this piece is magnificent . You project the emotional aspects/ mood changes of this melancholy and energizing song with intensity and sensitivity. And you conclude with a celebratory exhale that is not-pretentious or cheesy. You're like a whole Queen ensemble there. Thank you! Regards
He was my guitar teacher during the late 1970’s here in Luxembourg. He was an extraordinarily very talented guitarist. I hope he is still continuing with guitar.
Still the best! Effordless. I can't believe Steve Bean has passed you in viewings. He has no rithm, doesn't hit every note and I hear a lot of hissing and cracking when he plays. Also Cruz (we of course thank him for the arrangement) plays way too scruffy. Your performance has inspired me to study this piece.
+topneorej Agreed but i think it has to do with the poor audioquality on the video, would blow me away even more if this was in hq ohwell that's what my own guitar is for :)
+HaZeEurope91 Still I would like to see one of the real virtuoso's show what they can do with this piece. Maybe a good flamengo artist. Or someone like Ana Vidovic.
+XR32Y First I tried to get it for free, but it is well protected, so I just bought it. Not cheap, but you'll have months of fun practicing and years of fun performing:-)
don't listen to topneorej, there is a free guitarlesson with the exact same tab as this cover has, here on youtube AND he goes through each segment and part with you, just search for "lick n riff bohemian raphsody

I'm just really curious how deaf are the 142 people who had the nerve to hit the dislike button. I've listened to this maybe 20 times and I still find it amazing. I'm showing it to all my friends and they're all agreeing. Congratulations!
You might claim not to be a virtuoso but you are right up there my good sir. I have been watching this video since you uploaded it back in the day and I am still in awe as to how close to the original it is.
THAT IS THE , HANDS DOWN, WICKEDEST ACOUSTIC VERSION, OF RHAPSODY, I EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE !!!!! THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR TALENT AND IMITATION..... THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY !!! FREDDIE WOULD LOVE IT !!!!!
I rarely post anything, but I have to say that was amazing playing and it doesn't matter who did the arrangement, you did it amazing justice... You're like the best advertisement that this arrangement is playable by people, but you have to have the chops... You certainly have them... Great playing, very inspiring... :)
