The UC Men's Octet perform "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, at the Welcome Back to A Cappella Showcase at Hertz Hall, University of California, Berkeley on January 21, 2011. Featuring Ryan Tabura.
I don't think the audience was being disrespectful. The performance was obviously meant to be comedic and get a reaction from people otherwise they wouldn't have done the cover the way they did
Your right it was amazing and witty. I think the girls screaming made them sing even better they knew they were a hit. And they were quiet very quickly.
I'd like to remind people that this was a live performance, meaning it was meant for the audience, not RU-vid. of course the audience will cheer, listen to them!
Belinda rockin it at 70. 71 now? That’s awesome. I’ve loved Freddie since I was 14 and if we survive this fascist takeover I’ll be rockin till I’m a hundred. Rock on!
I am just seeing this; a cover of one of my fav songs of all! The choreography would have taken forever in and of itself. Yes, the crowd was a little distracting, but it only added to my flame of enthusiasm. Everything about this cover was great, since they are not professional and this was done live! No going back!. I know this comment is long. However, I have read quite a few before I put my 2cent’s worth in. Thank you if you have read all of this. Quite a mouthful!
James Potter i feel like they intended/expected the audience to laugh. I also believe that they took away just enough from the song for it to still sound amazing
I arrived here after seeing the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Impressed by this perfection of a cappella! Choreography is also the best. I will send applause from Japan. 私は映画「ボヘミアンラプソディ」を 見た後にここに到着しました アカペラのこの完璧さに感動! 振り付けも最高です。 日本から拍手を送ります
This was very entertaining! Beautiful rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody w/ humor & fun. The men did excellent throughout the entire performance!! I really loved this!
So many negative comments about the audience participation but I thought it added wonderfully to the excitement and spontaneity of this marvelous A Cappella rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. It's so real, so human, so filled with joy.
i was at the middle of something very important and was having a very very busy day and was stressing out too much and I took a break to open RU-vid and oh God I'm glad I clicked this, amazing cover, gunny as hell...thank you so much 😊😊❤
This just came up on my pinterest. It was amazing. I loved these guys. All of them talented in their own right but altogether, did a fantastic job on a very challenging iconic song. I hope they did well in college and I hope they do well in their chosen fields. They made my day for sure.
