I am a beginner, very beginner and have been all through these crochet videos and I have to say I feel yours are the BEST. you go slow and the written directions is such a big help! I am also doing your baby UGG booties (The stocking is my next project) Thank you so much for your great teaching techniques. It makes doing projects fun not frustrating. Your a wonderful teacher!
I am almost done with this project. Thank you for teaching me!! First time doing bean stitch, decreases, increases, about to do rib for the first time…. Needless to say it has been an education and pleasure. Besides blankets and granny squares this is my first real project. Lots of pausing and I appreciate the pattern being listed on the screen. This way I can pause, refer back and then proceed w the next step. Way less overwhelming that way! I did opt to continue my decreases down to close the toe vs weaving it. And went w a solid red color as well besides the ribbed top which will be a off white for a classic look. I learned this stitch, the bean stitch is a bit of a yarn eater but that is okay because I have a huge skein. I will be making stockings for my whole family using this pattern! I may do linen stitch and others for the rest making each one different to use less yarn. THANK YOU! ❤. Also will tag on IG when done!
I loved this tutorial. Clear, concise, and easy to follow for an intermediate skill level. I saved some time and some yarn by making smaller bean stitches (drawing up 4 loops on hook instead of 6) and it still turned out lovely. Thank you!
Greetings from TX! Thanks for this beautiful pattern. I appreciate that you actually give a stitch count throughout your pattern. It definitely helps me to know if I'm on the right track. You're also very thorough with the directions and I like that you have the written instructions as well. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I’ve just found your tutorial, I wish I’d found you before Christmas!!! But I’m so pleased I have as I can now make some for this year. Thank you so much for making it so easy to follow. I love this stocking.xx
That's so lovely. Thank you for the easy tutorial video that you share. The way you are teaching it is so understanding. I love to make it two for my two grandchildren. 🙏🏼💞💜🌷💙🧡💛💚💖🧡💝🤎
I believe this is the very first time I've come across any of your videos, but you can be sure I am now a subscriber! I can't tell you how much I love the way you explain. I am a VERY visual learner, and apart from the words getting in the way every once in a while, I can plainly see and understand what you're doing. I'm only 11 minutes in, and I already know I can easily do this pattern. Now I can confidently make several stockings as Christmas presents because of this lovely tutorial. WHOO HOO! 🥰😄🥰
Hi Stephanie, I absolutely LOVE your tutorials! I have a question on this stocking. At 29:26, we are supposed to continue the pattern until we have 6 inches from the heel. Does this mean that we need to keep decreasing in the corners or not?
Stephanie thank you for inspiring me to make a stocking for my first grandchild! I’m new at crocheting and I did it! I do have a question, I made the pom poms and see in the picture you have a crocheted braid they hang from, how do I do that?
Hi Stephanie, thank you for inspiring me to make a stocking for my first grandchild! I did it and am very excited, I made the Pom poms but would like to know how you attached them with the braid (guessing its a chain but I can’t figure how to attach it to the Pom pom and then the stocking). I’m new to crocheting so pardon if this seems like a ridiculous question, thank you.
Hallöchen, es ist eine sehr schöne Socke und sie haben es ganz toll erklärt. Schöne Stimme und ein gutes Tempo. Aber ich wie häkle ich die Spitze vom Schuh?
Hey Stephanie, Can this be adjusted to call it to be a bit smaller, are there specifics that make it have to be 46 to start? Like could I do 40 or even 38 and then do 18 or 16 for the heel?
i thought the same while crocheting my sock but thats because itll be a total of 20 stitches (you add another 10 stitches) so that way the seam from every slst and chaining 1 will be at the very back of the sock and out of view :)
