It's time for another episode of Quest for the Masks! Today we round of the 2003 sets with Pewku and Gukko, plus we discover a strange Bohrok Kal misprint... #bionicle #lego #unboxing
The misprinted Bohrok Kal faceplates are a previously documented phenomenon. It appears that Tahnok, Lehvak and Pahrak can all sometimes come with each other’s face prints. This is fairly rare, but the pieces don’t seem to be very desirable on the secondary market.

That bohrok is indeed something special! I actually spent a while tracking down one myself. Tahnok and Lehvak Kal can both end up with the wrong pattern on their head (Pahrak's and Tahnok's respectively) and I've only ever come across maybe 5 or 6 others online who have that green misprint! There's bound to be more out there obviously but still a neat find, congrats!
@@brickthumb The good news is the red one is a little easier to find because more people know of it. The bad news is that also means more people try and price it up. I got mine by trawling through bohrok job lots on ebay so if you keep doing what you're doing you're bound to find it eventually. Best of luck!
Neoshifters were awesome, loved the little guy that transforms as a ball in the center of the big neo shifter guy. As a kid I would carry around the little guy all the time since he was so small and portable

Many of the earth orange and dark orange parts on Pewku are rare, if not exclusive to that set, although the Bohrok eyes in dark orange also came in two "Parts tubs" in 2005 (8715) and 2006 (6620). It was also the last standard set to have "Voodoo Arms" in the old dark gray, even though one of them also came in another Parts tub (6638) which I obtained around 2006 as well. This was a similar story for the Technic "catch" in earth orange (sometimes called "Old brown" or "Mata brown"), which debuted in the Technic Droideka (8002) in January 2000, and also appeared in part tubs before being phased out by 2006.
Love the editing on this one! And yeah I've heard about those misprints before, not super common but also not really worth anything. Still, a neat thing to have!
Getting closer to shiny Toa Nuva! Just need the following: - Green Hau Nuva - Brown Hau Nuva - White Pakari Nuva - Brown Kaukau Nuva (For those wondering why I didn’t mention the Brown Akaku Nuva, it’s because Kopaka Nuva requires a limb piece that doesn’t exist in tan for a brown version)
I think you should make a display for the various masks that came with Matoran, Rahi, and other sets from 2001-3, considering how many of them you already have. Would be a good place to display the masks of victory, chrome and corrupted Hau masks, and any other miscellaneous masks from those years.

Question could you do video for the rakishi, not trying to dye them or anything since i think you said it was impossible, but could you try to use the pre-existing colors to make the other rakishi, all i onow of the ones possible is the rakishi of weather control or something idk, the green and brown one, i know you can mix and match to get the others ajd i think there is a sliver one or something And maybe when you get a 3D printer you can make the pieces unable to be dyed, i love you collection videos and the ones where you experiment with stuff, keep up the good work
I just recently got a bag of Bionicle parts on Offerup for $15, which seemed like a pretty great haul, having 80-ish percent of an Onua Nuva figure, until I actually went through the bag and found a silver Gali Nuva mask! It feels odd to have such a rare item. Does that sensation go away when you have multiple items that rare? Either way, I wish you the best of luck on your journey! Let's hope 2024 proves to be even more fruitful!
Haha, that's a really good question. The feeling hasn't gone away yet, at least not for me, but I bet the big collectors who spend thousands on rare items will start to lose interest in the "cheaper" things!
@@brickthumb I've talked to a few of those people before, and honestly, they kinda scare me! I can't imagine having so much money that a $150 mask is just a drop in the bucket!
@@headcrabking9054 Damn, yeah, that's crazy. I think even if I had the money, I would still prefer to hunt through boxes instead of just straight up throwing cash at everything! It's the hunt thats fun, not the buying.
