This boiler is the black death of heating systems as it has wiped out many bank accounts. It has however kept us busy at work with its plastic manifolds and dodgy PCB's.

I've repaired so many of these, I've lost count. Some I've encountered have needed replacing altogether. Pcbs ignition electrodes diverters & the fact they leak almost everywhere. Ideal seem to be getting it right now. I always clean the system thoroughly. I haven't had any comebacks. Especially on all the logiks I've fitted in the past.

I've installed a few of these in the past. No callbacks. On a clean system no major problems. However I've repaired numerous isar and icos boilers. Clean the system thoroughly before install and commissioning. Sludge and incorrect commissioning slowly kills off any boiler. Modern combi's tend to be very temperamental on dirty systems. A full day or 2 to correctly install a boiler. If done according to MI.

Just had the thermister replaced was ok for a week and now have no display. I have changed fuse and seen pcb boards on ebay. is it worth getting one and you fit it maybe. Im in Ashton Under Lyne. Thanks!

Hi Mate, How easy is it to change the divertor body on this boiler? Do other parts have to removed to get the pipes out of the body?

I have the evo he c22/24 the older version have alternate F then L and sounds like its keeps trying to run and get a clonking noise any ideas?

Hello won der if you can help ideal isar he 30 le fault keeps recurring even after reset install Manuel fault finder says replace pcb could it be anything else in your experience

Hi there . Mother in law is 70 years old. She has a isar ideal he30 combi boiler. When boiler is switched on by the mains the display is blank no lights what so ever , the isolated red light is on and the display unit on the wall comes on but the boiler display is completely blank , we had an engineer out that was here 1 hour and a half and charger her £150 to tell her that both her pcb and display unit needed replacing and that it would cost her £800. Any ideas on that please .

It sounds like it is the pcb but job should be approximately £400

Hi, I have ideal icos he15 boiler which has stopped working for some reason and i dont have hot water. When i switch the heating on the boiler can be switch on but no hot water. However when i switch off the heating the boilers burner light goes off too and i get “0” showing on the status display. I press reset it flashes with code H6/HB am not sure and goes back to showing 0. What could be the issue? Id appreciate your help a lot Thank you

Hi I have a ideal icos he24 and recently had a bit of a leak which caused the small fuse which is next to the timer to blow, i replaced the fuse and pcb, both electrodes still getting a L9 fault ive also changed the spark generator it seems like its not getting any current but when i flick the fuse on and off and place a tester into the wiring of the spark generator it flicks on and off am baffled tbe L9 fault code indicates fan fault or wiring harness but fan does come on when i turn on the boiler the spark electrode does not emit a spark. What do you suggest. Kind regards

L9 is for over heat, check the jumpers on the new PCB make sure the are the same as the old PCB.

My isar he30 pressure stays at below 1. I've got no leakage, boiler still works. But every time i re pressurise it instantly looses it and back to less than 1 bar. Csn someone help me.

Call a gas safety engineer, because if you touch that trap your breaking the law.

My ideal isar he24 makes a squeeling noise when radiators are on..but stops when i run the hot tap..then starts aqueeling again. Getting louder what can it be..any ideas ?? Drives me mad.

If power is presented at the boiler it's normally the pcb, if no power is not present at the boiler then check the spur switch

@@justsendmelocation5068 Why is the title...Boiler repair, when all he does, is point out the parts. I don't think I've ever found this guy's videos useful, I think they're meant for homeowners/diy ers, who shouldn't be touching them anyway!!👎 Another Vid of his was ..."Ideal isar, hot water not Ideal" & showed him running a hot tap for 2 minutes & that was that, no conclusion, no thoughts on repair, nothing....waste of time!!!😡
