Ridge was actually ahead of his time, when you think about it. Now, it's very common for design houses like Calvin Klein, Armani, Donna Karan to have mid-priced lines. Also designers have collaborations with H&M, Target, etc. all the time these days.
So I guess before they went into mass production they basically just did custom orders to people who can afford to order something custom made or probably made like very little of somebody designs and just fold them in their own Stars that's what I'm thinking right customer? Their own stores? And then just discontinued that design after that can you imagine $400 and $50 for a sweater and nowadays that's considered modest nowadays there's like just for like 1,000 on up

There was a boom of modeling agencies and high fashion houses back in the 80s but by the time B&B concept came out, fast fashion was budding and many houses went bankrupt or just cater to the very few loyal customers. It was mentioned a few episodes that Rocco found a dress that cost 9.000$ in 1987. It's a dress for nearly 40.000$ now. Even Chanel sells for cheaper. I like how Ridge is keeping up with the times and sees where the fashion world is going. Smart people invest into things that are going places even if they don't like those things themselves. It's rumored that Steven Jobs forbade his kids from using smartphones because he saw how addictive they were but he invested into creating them and made billions.

I remember 1987 very clearly. That was VERY expensive for a sweater back then. You could get a decent sweater for about $30 in those days. $100 would have been expensive. I got a reduced price lamb's wool sweater at Lord and Taylor in 1988 and spent about $40 on it. It was an attempt to get attention from a certain male co-worker. It got his attention, all right! Unfortunately, I couldn't wear it again because it turns out that I'm allergic to lamb's wool.
I really want to like Margo. I do. But she keeps getting her self caught up in these situations with Ridge where all emotional intelligence and strength goes out the window when she’s with him knowing how Ridge is with her.
I know what you mean, but taking into consideration what he looks like (cheekbones, jawline) plus when he turn on the charm, I can’t say that I can really blame her. Disagree. Ridge proposed to spite C's father, cheated on C while they were engaged, and then tried to push her into sex with an ultimatum. Ridge is more about competing with Thorne. The great romance is nothing but a cheater love bombing his target. It is not romantic at all to me. Ridge comes across to me as predatory, self absorbed. self indulgent, and competitive.

It is hilarious how Ridge used to interrupt Margo at work whenever he wants and just seduce her umpteen times with 100% confidence that he will succeed each time, so now she goes to him like a trained pet.
I love Margo and Ridge chemistry of intimacy together it's perfect! Eric Forrester was always jealous of Ridge's biological father and when Ridge intelligences like Mosimo Marone is displayed Eric Forrester is quick to shut Ridge down and quick to keep Ridge in the shadows of his lust with many different womans, but Throne has vile sexual ways like Eric Forrester and they both always violate the man code!
Ridge should break away and have his own, affordable line and build his own fashion empire, not using the Forrester name of course due to trademark issues.

Yes of course Caroline and Ridge are still IN LOVE with each other, TRUE LOVE LIKE theirs does not go away, it fact they were in lOVE with each other throughout the whole time she was married out of compassion/gratefulness to Thorne for supporting her through the traumatic time…she realizes this mistake in marrying Thorne ( throne/ BRooke tag teaming and lying to CRIDGE was a contributor) within a year or so. Rocco saw HOW much RIDGE Was in LOVE with Caroline and the pain he went through and this is the 1st time Caroline is hearing besides the letter HOW DEEPLY Ridge was in love with Caroline, unlike the tabloids that showed that ridge was partying with different women every night…I think Caroline did not realize the extent of how much Ridge loves her (besides when she got the letter THE MORNING of the wedding, a little too late all bcos of conniving BRooke/ Thorne who were in cahoots); Caroline was too kind to break Thorne’s heart, (2nd wedding that would fall apart in the same house) as she felt indebted to him… but hearing Rocco SAY IT OUT LOUD THat ridge was hurting through the whole time was news to her now, unlike the tabloids that painted a different story or the sacrifice that ridge made by staying away so that Caroline would heal, even though it was with his brother! This is Caroline realizing that it was not Thorne competition but TRUE LOVE and sacrifice from ridge!
