The Bears OL is ranked 11th in the NFL per PFF, they have the Packers OL ranked 14th for context. Don’t let Justin Fields awful play in the pocket which resulted in significantly more sacks than there should have been impact your thinking. Whatever little thinking you are actually doing. Just look at the sack percentages of Fields and rookie FA Bagent last season. Fields sack% is almost 3 times higher because he can’t read defenses, doesn’t throw with anticipation and holds the ball too long.

Honestly probably should. I trust him to be able fall properly now so I don’t think he’ll get a concussion that way but we’ve seen him slim down to hopefully show off his very underrated rushing ability, love it. My one problem is that Tua tends to take hits and go head first when running so the guardian cap should help. Also, because he’s a lefty, people already think his passing looks weird so it doesn’t really matter if he looks a little goofy with a weird helmet, he’ll be unfairly ridiculed for it if he wears it but at the same time he’s already made fun of for things not in his control.

As a Bears fan, the line injuries are a concern, but labeling the line as bad by naming them (the idea being it's bad because you don't recognize the names I guess?) is kind of a logical flaw. PFF has them ranked 11th in the NFL, a few spots ahead of Green Bay and Minnesota. Jones and Wright at the tackle positions are solid and developing, Teven Jenkins has been very good the last two years and Ryan Bates should be an improvement on Cody Whitehair. My pick would be 8-9 wins, borderline playoffs and ahead of the Vikings and behind the Packers and Lions.

@@lnnrt0161 I think Jenkins is great when he plays but he does have a bit of an injury history. Bates isn't bad, but Davis is another guy with a bit of an injury issue. There's decent depth though, at guard and tackle. It's a solid group but if it stays banged up by week 1, I'd be worried. The secondary is top notch though, with good depth. Linebackers are solid, just need some growth on the dline and maybe one more pass rusher.

Bears fan here, you’re sleeping on the bears o line. Like you read off their names as if that’s all you need to do to prove your point. Darnell wright was a first round pick last year and was solid last year as a rookie. Tevin Jenkins was a 2nd rounder and has developed into a solid guard. Braxton jones is also a solid left tackle. Most of the issues that people were blaming the o line for last season were really just cause fields would hold the ball for too long.

@@thepeytondog we’re talking about o line here, their stats aren’t as easy to point to as receivers getting yards and touchdowns. The bears o line looks bad on paper last season because fields holds the ball too long resulting in a sack. It’s not the o lines fault he can’t throw after like 5 seconds. And their draft position is very relevant with recently drafted players. It shows how much potential the franchise and other scouts had on that player coming into the league. Darnell was drafted 10th overall last year so it stands to reason that he is projected to get exponentially better after his promising rookie season.

All those predictions tied to the NFC championship and Super Bowl make me feel so happy. If we actually did beat the Cheeseheads with a last-second LaPorta touchdown to reach our first ever Super Bowl, that would be amazing enough on its own. To cap it off beating the Chiefs and being the heroes the world has been crying for to stop the 3-peat, my heart just might explode. I really hope those come true.

I think it's also pretty embarrassing that the Browns' last 4000 yard passer was Brian Sipe in 1980 (possibly their *only* 4000 yard passing season) and the Jets haven't done so since Namath in 1967, (their *only* time and the 1st 4000 yard season ever). Also Namath threw more picks than TDs in 67 for good measure

As a Bears fan, all the expectations my fellow fans have are dumb. I get being excited for a new season, but we've seen this happen way to many times. Great offseason, great team on paper, and end up being average at best. Even with a roster full of pro bowlers and multiple #1 WRs, I still need to see results.

Richardson should be ahead of Stafford and Cousins. Those guys had 0% chance at MVP in their primes. They’re not upside QB’s and thus won’t be anywhere close to the MVP convo. Richardson might not either, but he at least has the upside of a breakout season.

The Dolphins just need to stay healthy, particularly their offensive line, and they will be better than many think. They added another RB with 4.3 speed in Jaylen Wright, and the kid looked like a stud in his first preseason game, and has dominated in camp. Him, Achane, and Mostert with Tyreek, Waddle, and OBJ as a very solid WR3, could put up even more points than their league-leading totals of 2023. And the defense looks great w new DC Anthony Weaver from the Ravens. He’s got them super excited and playing great already. Added Will Fuller, Poyer, Jordyn Brooks and several other key players like edge rusher Chop Robinson, who looks REALLY quick around the edge. Could be a SB team if they stay relatively healthy.
