"Working on what is the biggest "Sandwich de Chola" in the world. This sandwich has been made by more than a hundred young students from different universities. Why was this done? To be able to work on the gastronomic identity of the people of La Paz, to show the seven traditional dishes of our city, La Paz, and among them is the Sandwich de Chola. We are thankful. We have worked with three quintals of flour, a load of onion, a load of carrot, 380 kilograms of pork meat to be able to have what we have now.”

“It is something that is being done for the first time and it is something that represents us. Our roasted pork with its crunchy skin, its sauce and its yellow chili, it's delicious.”

STORYLINE:
Gastronomy experts and student chefs prepared a “Sandwich de Chola” on Tuesday in a bid to break the world record for the largest sandwich.
Esteban Bustamante, a cook who was taking part in the world record attempt said the sandwich contained "three quintals of flour, a load of onion, a load of carrot, 380 kilograms of pork meat."
More than 100 students from various universities also took part in the effort.
The Chola sandwich is a popular dish in La Paz.
