Look at the way British was portrayed in the film, they could have made them complex characters, like the one in Sardar Udham. Instead they are portrayed as some sort of Disney villian. So, Ratna Pathak's statement makes sense in a lot of ways, it's a genuine complaint

Definitely! But it's not a fault of north. Back then Very few movies were actually dub for Hindi audience. Even Southern makers never thought of capturing Hindi market till bahubali make it big in North. Allu arjun was more famous because dub version telecasted N number of times on TV.

Idk abt thriller, as I have seen much better thriller movies and dramas from Bollywood and sometimes there are South Indian movies that match that. But I don’t think neither film industry is bad, I think they are both good at what they do. South Indian is more colorful in their movies, Bollywood is able to pull off more risky ventures because of their name like Haider and Talvar
