Watch Steven Spielberg & S S Rajamouli talk about #TheFabelmans released in cinemas today. #stevenspielberg #ssrajamouli #thefabelmans #rrr #relianceentertainment #flimmaker
@@rockykannadiga Promotion or not he's praising it , he liked it that's enough. Don't spread hate. And Spielberg is literally an Oscar favourite director.
@@rockykannadiga Damn, you guys should know the difference between "copying" and taking "inspiration". Clearly you are not matured enough to differentiate those both! 😅
@@BOLLY4U2U bhai rrr ne india ko global recognition dilayi hai also iam srk fan but Srk ne bhi wahi kiya jo rrr mein hero ne kiya some illogical action sequences and I hate that.
Steven Spielberg, the guy who gave us iconic movies like Indiana jones, Jaws, Jurrasic Park, ET, Adventures of TinTin, Catch me if you can, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's list, The Terminal...This guy made our childhoods memorable. What a legend!
When Speilberg says “say your own stories rather than trying to say the stories that the world want to listen”, I hope all the big production houses in India are listening to it
Paathan is Remake of Hollywood's Outdated Spy Concepts. Bollywood Want to Represent Western culture in Films but Rajamouli stories are Rooted to Our culture, he Represents Characters and Dialogues from Bhagavat Geetha and Mahabharatha. Don't Ever Compare Bullywood films with Rajamouli.
Just imagine mahabharatam made by SSR in collab with Steven spielberg. No movie will ever be able to break the records of it. Looking forward to see it before i die.
Seeing Steven Spielberg one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. One of the greatest individuals that shaped cinema over the decades and SS Rajamouli in one frame, having a conversation about their films is a testament that Mr. SS Rajamouli has really made something special! Congratulations Mr. Rajamouli and RRR, my favorite film of 2022!
There's no director in India now who can come close to rajamouli when it comes to create massy goosebumps scenes and crafting a story that can show you every color of emotion, He's a legend who will inspire more people to become directors. Thank you SS for everything you did to elevate indian cinema 🎥 ❤️
@@rajesh5279 I saw PS1 .It was really nice.great dialogues, nice story narration, everything was good. But unfortunately something is missing. Don't know what.. I really loved the music, story acting.. Everything is great, may be some elivations on big screen might be missing.Hope this shall be covered in part 2
@@chandrasekharkandala9465 many of the goose bump moments like Bahubali climbing on an elephant, sivagami carrying the new born baby in hand were all taken from PS novel. mani Ratnam didn't repeat it. .. Moreover, PS is very sophisticated in terms of screenplay. Too much happening in PS-1 itself despite chopping many scenes from novel
@@rajesh5279 We have many epic stories Mahabharata,bhagavatam,ramayana..and many...SSR himself told that his stories are from any of these mythological connections. I just liked the story of bahubali that speaks about our dharma, the war scenes of bahubali 1 are unique and one and only bahubali.
@@rajesh5279 I think apart from Kalki's Ponniyin Selvan you haven't read epics from valmiki and vedavyas... He draws inspiration from there... Not PS...
Just wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! As a Telugu and as an Indian, it fills my heart with pride and joyyyy! What an interaction and how well did Rajamouli host this ? Wonderfully researched questions.....well done Mr. Rajamouli, you are the biggest living legend in filmmaking! Unfortunately, we lost one recently (K. Vishwanath). I am glad we have a person who can continue his legacy.
@@rockykannadiga are you not seeing the video, its speilberg talking to Rajamouli, whos talking about equality, not every director will get praised by spielberg right?
@@rockykannadiga Ofcourse they both are not equal, Spielberg is an idol of Rajamouli, they are a generation apart. Take note, Rajamouli will be remembered as a legend in Indian cinema by the time he is 76 (Spielberg's current age). He already reshaped Indian film industry dynamics with just 3 films. He is already a legend in India, whether you like it or not.
@@rockykannadiga yes absolutely he is equal to the brain of Spielberg… don’t underestimate SS Rajamouli wait for Mahabarath whole world is going to turn around towards SS Rajamouli… you go and. Lick the boots of English directors 😂😂
@@rockykannadiga I don't understand some kachada fanatics... When Baahubali released you claim him as Kannadiga just because of one reason that he was born there... Your govt suggests his name for Padma Shree... But suddenly when some KGF comes you start trolling him and his movies... If your star knows this he'll remove your clothes and do khaima... BC go and lick your boss boots don't come here with shitty stuff... If you're seen outside guys will make you into pieces...
Still, it has got 50+ international awards and literally awards from established critic circles as the best international film and best director. Native people in USA, Japan are watching the film multiple times even more than the Indians, film is still running in theaters in houseful mode despite already being played in OTTs. So, we can safely take that bag of illusionary Oscars and throw them into the trash in the case of RRR, especially 2023.
My both the favourite directors in one screen. Feeling very proud of SSR's journey from a nobody when he directed a serial to the legendary status now. You made Telugu people & whole india proud Jai Telugu thalli 🔥✊
I became huge fan of rajamouli sir after watching EEGA ..... What a genius man..... Never expected this convo between two legends.....but very happy that it happened
What an honor 🎖 for telugu director to have this much time with Steven Spielberg. This is incredible 👏 🙌 😍. I couldn't dream of this happening a decade ago.
this is how conversations will be when legends of a particular field discuss their work, even though it is not my field of work, I felt so invested in their conversation.. need more such conversations
Omg.. we never imagined. Hollywood top 2 directors will appreciate Indian director.. it's only because of SS Rajmouli and RRR actors and technician team.. It's a long years waiting movement if happens or not.. now this video made it... Very Pride of India because of SS Rajmouli
The advice Steven Spielberg gave to SS Rajamouli on "the Oscar question" is GOLD! That's what is needed! Telling your own stories, the stories of this land, in your own manner.
When I saw Eega movie Itself I knew that SS Rajamouli goona take Indian cinema to next level. I can't wait for the day when he finally starts his dream project Mahabharata.
Appreciate your words brother, let all Bollywood fans degrade rajamooli more he will come back strongly. I know khans fans are not even digesting water but we Telugu people will digest mountains with these Bollywood idiots
I can't believe what I am watching, Rajamouli's interaction with Steven Spielberg on his movie .SS Rajamouli takes the Indian cinema to different level
What an iconic interview this one is!!! Had tears almost throughout the duration of the interview. So touching and heartwarming!!!! Thank you both Genii and all those who collaborated to enable this video saw light and day.
In Hollywood and Tollywood, they reign Two directors, unique in their domain Steven Spielberg, a master of the craft SS Rajamouli, with grandeur that leaves us daft Spielberg's movies are classics, that's no lie His storytelling skills will make you cry Jaws, E.T, Jurassic Park, and more In his movies, we find awe galore Rajamouli's films are pure magic, we see The grandeur of his vision, it's plain to see Baahubali, a masterpiece in every way A marvel that took our breaths away Two masters of their art, so far apart Yet, their passion for cinema touches the heart One in Hollywood, the other in Tollywood's light Together, they show us that movies take flight In their hands, a story becomes a dream A world so real, yet not what it seems A journey that takes us through time And leaves us in awe, every time.
Never would have expected this after watching Rajamouli's Eega/Naan Ee in 2011. I always thought Hollywood and Americans (and even internationally) would never take Indian films seriously. Glad to see it has changed. Rajamouli is a true visionary with some epic fantasy films. Not sure if he's on par with the versatility of Spielberg but definitely a big visionary.
Being a telugu, what a joyous moment when the king himself acknowledges our movie, i lost count of times i saw minority report , it still holds good today , a true visionary
The Fabelmans is a very inspiring Film for any aspiring Filmmaker. Thanks Mr. Spielberg for making it. Thanks and Love to Rajamouli Sir for asking good questions.
It is true that we have more directors talented than SSRM in India....But I noticed that they will talk like they are from different world.. Noticed in different interviews this guy is so down to earth and his conversation always connect with common persons... Eager to learn and no hesitations for appreciating others work... Thats why he is at top now....Really proud of him...
No we don't have more talented directors than SSR. Even the best of the best loved SSR's movies so other Indian directors are extremely behind SSR, especially since they are looking upto hollywood and hollywood is looking upto SSR.
Young Indians should take inspiration from this interview Rajamoli is always a student ,who keeps growing step by step . I am predicting his next movie will Rock the world. All the best Sir.
@@Aryan-xm5kx We too love north Indians, or in matter of fact, everyone. Sending greetings to you all. But we also have the responsibility to humble those haters
@@kylorevanth9647 did anyone say RRR is the best movie. Truly there are more better movies than RRR in same genre and other genres. Why do you write these type of comments while someone praising RRR?
Mr. Rajamouli is a good bit younger than me, but I can't imagine being on the receiving end of this (well deserved) praise from Mr. Spielberg and to be able to converse with him professionally. Just having him say that he looks forward to meeting him privately to ask him questions is a high honor. A deserved honor. I saw RRR with a crowd for the first time last week and it is an experience that ranks with seeing JAWS and ALIENS in a theater purely on audience reaction. We left energized and glowing. It's not an easy trick to pull that off, especially with a three hour movie. I know there are complicated political and cultural issues related to RRR and I am maybe being callous by not focusing on them. But at the same time, movies do exist on their own plane and it's a pure crowd-pleaser without any context. There are any number of American films that are enjoyed free of context by Americans and non-Americans alike who are unfamiliar with the cultural context they were craeted in. One day, if things go that way, beings will watch what we made without any context except we exterminated ourselves. Maybe they'll find RRR a joy as well. It's a joy for me and I enjoy living vicariously through Mr. Rajamouli having this conversation.
Just fyi, RRR is a Telugu movie which is totally different from Bollywood. Bollywood is not something we Indians are proud of anymore.. Cos its become to empty, woke and fancy. It has nothing Indian in it anymore.
Steven Spielberg WAS, IS and WILL BE The Greatest movie director and Maker of All time for me and I have seen alot of Directors work from from Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick To David Fincher, Quintin Tarantino, Martin scorsese, Christopher Nolan and to SS sir . Steven Spielberg will always be the Number 1 for me. I mean he has touched almost every Genre and has made a Masterpiece not many Directors do that....I mean he Directed Both Jurassic park and Schindler list in the same year both Poles apart movie's
The amt. Of Genres Spielberg has covered in his lifetime is insane... Monster movies (Jaws, Jurasic Park), Adventure films(Indiana Jones), Biopics(Schindler's List, Lincoln), War Movies (Saving Private Ryan), Historical Films (Munich,Bridge of Spies, War Horse), kids films (ET, BFG, Hook), SciFi (Close Encounters, War of Worlds, AI) Musicals( West Side Story)..... And all of them are among the best of not the best in their respective genres... If this doesn't makes him The GOAT... Idk what does
Proud moment for Indian cinema. James Cameron and Spielberg knowing about Indian cinema and appreciating Indian cinema. Kudos to SS Rajamouli and team. Also need appreciate social media and OTTs taking Indian cinema to international level.
OHHHHHH MY STARS.........IS THIS EVEN REAL .......THE BEST DIRECTOR OF THE WORLD PRAISING THE BEST DIRECTOR OF INDIA......I'VE TO PINCH MYSELF TO BELIEVE🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳❤🌎🌎🌎🔥🔥🔥❤🌊🌊🌊
I am crying omg..... My two beloved directors 😄😄😄 Spielberg was a big part of me growing up ... While Rajamouli always brought me Back to Indian cinema Also to all the Bollywood dummies.... See what Spielberg said... Make your own movies, that tell your stories... Dont copy paste😐
Happiness of Rajamouli sir in this interview says everything, even today after a long successful cinema career His love for cinema like a child loves his toy 😭😭🙏🙏👏👏💐💐
To the people questioning certain 'unrealistic' sequences, please understand that movies are basically an art form. You can present anything. Here are two great directors talking and praising each other. One made dinosaurs and humans contemporaries. Another one made a housefly take revenge. And they have set up many such unrealistic scenes. Many successful movies hook to people's emotions. It doesn't matter whether the scenes are realistic or not. We have grown up on Fairy tales. Don't try to pigeon hole the whole movie universe into a specific genre or sensibility which you prefer.

My all time favorite Director Steven Spielberg Sir whose film Jurassic Park 1 inspired me to become a director...n the best Director of India Rajamouli Sir...what a treat for people who love films
Wow !wow !Rajamouli garu putting our film on international board . Steven spelberg praising and conversing SSRM . A real scene Goosebumps!!! Jai ho SSRM &Family .Long live and God bless.
Rrr is best. Even in Japan highest Indian movie grosser. Muthu used to be highest with 22 crore rrr broke and collected 56+ crore and still running successfully. Indians some people are spreading hate but foreign people there are loving it. Next rajamouli movie is pan world movie releases in English I think. If that happens it is impossible to break that record.
Everything is subjective in terms of being better. However, we have to admire a cinematic experience and great direction that is RRR. It’s another level even if you like slow art films.
Personally, I suspect that the politics of which film is chosen as India's entry for Oscar consideration has more to do with the lack of nominations than the quality of Indian films. RRR should have been in the "Best Foreign Film" lineup!
