You can never look bad in a saree, if worn right obviously... It is just so elegant! And Beautiful. I remember wearing it for the first time on my school farewell. And damn! I felt like a queen. Each and every girl in the farewell slayed those sarees and the boys were just staring at us 😂😂🙈
All the sarees carry information about the craftspeople's families, their heritage and culture, right from the fabric to the weaves and craft that goes into it. These so called fashion enthusiasts will never be able to appreciate India's clothing variety and craftship (completely lost it when they called the saree a sofa upholstery).
Aishwarya Rai is the most beautiful person in Saree... Simple grand elegance of Aishwarya Rai bacchan is unbeatable. I loved Deepika padukone's looks in 2010... Ultimate Brown Beauty👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I don't think DP's look was bad she was beautiful in that saree and her hairstyle and dramatic eye complemented the look really well she was drop-dead gorgeous 😍😍😩🖤💛🖤💛
We should be proud that she is representing in Indian culture at the world platform. North Indians always mock Bollywood artists for their Westernisation. Now I am, as a South Indian proud of Deepika 🤗
Saree was not the problem. The terrible saree was the problem. And the worst eye makeup ever was a bigger problem (Not the look. The execution was pathetic.)
@@eklavyasingh183 Yes, I'm from East coast of India, living in west coast of India. Allow me to introduce myself. Haha. The way these people talk, it's like India only has North & South.
South Indians always seem to have a generalised and discriminatory view of North Indians. Your view on her saree seems hypocritical if you can't even get over your North Indian prejudice.
I absolutely loved Deepika's look at the Cannes this year. The eye makeup is the cherry on top. But I don't know why people are hating on her . People really can't appreciate anyone ,they always have to criticize the makeup ,style or whatever it is.
True!! as she was not there only for her films and more but this time she was also representing our country as jury so we should support her rather than criticise her look , at least she wore a saree with inspired by Bengal tiger (as I heard) that was a big deal
The person I know who carry any type of saree in any occasion with very much elegance is none other than my elder cousin. He has a small scale saree business and the way he carries more than a hundred saree in his splendor bike is truly fascinating💞
Honestly, I liked all the saree looks ever since I started following Cannes. There is no one defined way of wearing a saree or makeup with it. The beauty of this Indian attire is that it can easily blend with any circumstance according to requirements. If in India we find so different ways of saree textiles.... Different drapping styles.... And associated makeup design to adone it with.... Why to restrict within boundaries. Common girls....... Keep experimenting.... Because failure after hard work also leads to some new invention.
idk why people are hating Deepika's look I saw her and I immediately thought of Rajesh Khanna movie actress era of bollywood with the saree and hair and makeup
Deepika looked fabulous and her entire look was fab. Most importantly, the saree was quite a statement piece There was an element of drama in the way she had put on eye make up, it just caught attention spontaneously. Fab Fab Fab
I loved her saree and look... Agar unhone kuch western pehna to bhi you will judge them for feeling shameful about Indian culture... And pehna toh bhi you'll troll them... Anyways, you go girls... Spread your magic 🥰🥰🥰
We Indians don’t like Indian culture … we are sooo blinded by the western culture …. Sometimes I feel bad …. All the Indian actress are looking absolutely fabulous in Saree …. Those who can’t appreciate their own culture are basically aliens …
No you are wrong !! Indians don’t know to appreciate anything is right term!! If you wear anything they gonna troll them or comment on them either it’s saree or western dress !! And wonders what even wedding dress -(Alia was perfect example where people literally calling her out on who wear so basic dress and jewellery on her own wedding like I was people chill it’s HER WEDDING not yours 🤣
those who can't appreciate their culture are insecure about themselves and their kids will be insecure too They will remain insecure about everything they have or they do.
Calling them haters or trolls isn't justified. When the celebrities look good they admire, but when their dress or makeup is not good they said it's bad. It is about giving a genuine opinion.
Actually they are blind haters criticism alag bat hai or trolling alag log Deepika ko hate krne ki wajah se mostly log isi wajah se ese ese comments pass kr rhe hain unko sirf bahana chahiye that's all
@@soni4612 the blind appreciation just because they are Indian reps is also toxic my friend. I personally thought Deepikas make up was bad. Ash was good in everything except that Chikkankari kurtha piece. The fit wasn't good. Fit is so important, it makes or breaks the outfit. It didn't seem like all the comments were negative. Many were appreciative. So the video title is misleading. People in the comments are also just hanging onto the negative ones and making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Sarees are definitely the best representation of Indian culture on an International platform however the designers should understand the aesthetic of it and also consider the vast scope of various authentic craftsmanship from different Indian cultures that they can inculcate in sarees thus carefully not making it a caricature of the absolute workmanship , as a result representing these gorgeous women on an International platform beautifully with minimal stylisation and not so over the top made up look.
Woaah so well compiled by Brut. After highlighting all the judgemental reactions by the audience, also added a clip saying we don't have the capacity to judge. 👏
You're clearly saying it yourself that fans raved and loved the look of aeishwarya rai in yellow and Sonam in white, while they disliked some other looks even when worn by the same celebrity they liked before. That's good isn't it? That all people are looking at is fashion. It's not about the "saree" but it's about what's looking good to them and what's not. I think when they walk and show off their looks the purpose is to be judged, isn't it? Good or bad?! So, are people forced to like it because it's a saree? I think people have a really good eye for appreciating what they like and for disliking what they don't despite who wore it or who designed it. ❤️ Personally I think Aeishwarya Rai in yellow was handsdown the best look in saree. She looked drop dead gorgeous. 🤤❤️
Nobody literally nobody knows and social media and everyone ignored the Assamese actress who went to Cannes in the traditional Mekhla Sadar (Assamese version of Saree) . She boldly carried the dress at Cannes while our media houses are busy in covering Deepika Padukone
Everything is fine.. But the Problem is they wear ultra modern shits during their movie promotion but flaunt their culture outside. I dont understand why? I don't understand whether its a good thing or bad!
How anybody even can say that wearing saree is boring .......I'm happy to see that there are so many people in industry who choose sari over western dress and style saree with new design and add their own twist that's what our society need to upgrade our culture....as others are doing
What a weird take. Most of the looks that looked nice had praise, although i think there is a bias towards thin figures, and that Indian celebs often do not understand that Cannes does not call for Drama most of the time (unless the person wearing it can carry it off). My favourite sari looks have been: Kalki, with that headband, Aishwarya, in the mustard sari, and then Sonam with the jacket. All three were very beautiful, understated, clean looks. I think Sonam just wore a nose ring with hers and no necklace or earrings. None of them looked like they were about to get married. I really think Indian designers need to up their "pretty" quotient on their western dresses. Most of those just look so forgettable.
This year I don't like Deepika Padukone's hairstyle. It's simply not doing any justice. The saree is good but it feel if she has worn a saree then she should also keep her hair open or if not there is a many options of bun hairstyle or breads hairstyle. The make- up and the hairstyle have just spoiled the look . In her debut in Cannes she is looking very beautiful because she has worn a saree and the hairstyle and make-up is also good.
There's Nothing wrong in it , she looks absolutely awesome, she may wear what makes her feel confident and Beautiful, we can't Leave our choices for Lots of People commenting or troll
Cannes Film festival was familiar coz of Aishwarya Rai ❤️the ultimate beauty The best look in a saree is of Aishwarya Rai ❤️ Kangana is also very classy her fashion 🎉
......appreciating the rich variety and exquisite workmanship on the saree i remember the erudite charming brillisnt scholar Aijaz Ahmed smilingly remarking ...not being able to wear that is the only time i regret not being a woman
Cannes french media loves Indian attires ...Indian jewelry..Indian traditional designs .... On same clothes french media loves it... But our own india media ridicule them and bully their dresses.... Aishwarya got bullied for golden saree in devdas premiere...then she subsequently ridiculed for her traditional clothes by india media...french media was loving her ..but idian media was bullying her ...then she started wearing expensive foreign designers western clothes then she becom fashion icon according to Indian media.... This is so tacky ... Even today....no actress dare to wear saree on carpet in her debut ..they feel so insecure .... Even our so called deshbhaktan kangana even she wore gowns on red carpet...no m not talking abt wearing sarees in ur personal hotel rooms... So far only Aishwarya , deepika and Vidya Balan wore saree in frst debute at Red carpet....all three worn without any share and embrace their own style ... Vidya did too much over the top....that's why deepika nailed it ..she keep it simple .elegant...and modern ....that white golden saree was just epic....way better than those dolca gabana elee Saab gowns ....
Kangana Ranaut carried her saree look to an another level She was just outstanding You believe or not Deepika, Sonam se jayda fashion sense hai Kangana mein Uski personality jaisi bhi ho lekin uski fashion to char chand laga hi deti hai
We wear anything inside home because no one is watching us but outside we prefer something that will be decent or attractive and people will always have their opinion.
In this world not even a single Individual has any right to judge others. It applies to everyone in this universe. As some living beings we are here to clebrate our existence not to judge and fill our minds with trash.
Aishwarya Rai in saree in the most iconic moment in saree. But at the same time I want her to keep experimenting with dresses. People wont remember the elegant ones for always, but dramatic ones. Like priyanka's metgala look will be always popular than Deepika one. Same way I want drama, for saree we have wedding events and all.
Aishwarya in yellow saree was undoubtedly drop dead gorgeous. And talking about Dipika, the only disaster was her eye makeup. Apart from that she was also looking good. And the idiot who commented on her saree must not have any sense of Indian clothes.
Don't know when did so called 'fans' ever trolled such dresses. Fashion is highly subjective and it can be anything as long as you can be confident in wearing it
