Looks great! I really like the way your restoration turned out... no LS, no 4 link, no bags.... just nice simple and clean! Happy Trails, Doug

I can’t thank you enough fir your videos. I’m restoring a 62 and I’m lost in certain areas. I’ve been working on foxbody mustangs since the early 90’s. This is all new to me. I’m hoping when my headlight harness comes in the lights start working again. Lol! Thanks again!!

Just found your channel and I must say it's great. I really like how your son seems to help you out a bit. I just started my channel but the filming/youtube piece of it is what seems to have gotten my 11 year old into my trucks. Thanks for showing us how it's done! I strive to do that on my channel as well.

Working out in the driveway and with the garage door open in February. I’m jealous. It’ll still be a month or two before we’re able to do that up here in my neck of the woods. Good to see you and your son cuttin’ up a little bit there at the end. Good stuff!!

Always a pleasure watching a craftsman at work !! One suggestion from a old electrician who learned the hard way: When you cut those zip ties with any kind of cutter (diagonals or side cutters), the cut edges are very sharp and will cut you like a razor. A way to eliminate that hazard is to pull your zip tie to where you are happy with it and grab the "tail" with a side cutter (the jaw of the pliars, not the cutter) right where it exits the latch part of the zip tie. Twist the tail three or four turns until it twists off. That WILL NOT leave the sharp edges. They also make tools (the nice ones are kinda like a pistol) that tighten the zip ties and break off the tail leaving no sharp edges too.
@Gibson63.

Good tip man thanks
@carl_marks1626

They do spring loaded side cutters now that cut the zip tie right down. Know what you mean about those sharp edges though, cut all my forearms once chasing a wire behind a dashboard.

Hey man, cool truck! As stated prior I’d gotten the same wire kit and started my install of it yesterday. Sir, did you have to change many of the ‘connectors?” I’m looking at mine and it’s a “63” looking to be that I’ve got to change “connectors to my old ones? Or is there provided in wire provision for “changing the connectors over to “new?” Thanks for all you post, you rock the old trucks Sir!

Greetings from Sweden! Your videos are very instructive and have helped me a lot working on my own C10 64, Thank you. At the end of this video I see the column shifter and the gear indicator. How did you manage to mount that indicator on this 3-speed manual column shifter? Is there any safety switch or something like that in order to prevent R or N to be engaged accidently while driving?
@Gibson63.
@Gibson63. 5 лет назад
The indicator itself is screwed on both sides of the column, The orange dot indicator that moves with the column is something I cut out of a fishing reel handle knob that is simply glued on, I am working on a safety neutral switch now. this is really temporary until I can find an automatic column
@ngb2444

@@Gibson63. With this setup, will the the engine start with the shift lever in any position or only when you turn the key on and the lever is in Park position?
@Gibson63.

NGB After I hook up my neutral safety switch it will only start and park

Question: is it necessary to install a mounting plate for the fuse box (circuit board)?
@Gibson63.
@Gibson63. 5 лет назад
On this American auto wire kit it came with a mounting plate and extra long bolts that come through the inner fender to bolt up

Gibson63 good. I’m going to have to do some work to mine. I didn’t see it until I had the truck completely torn down. I’m in now so no choice but to start welding.

@Gibson63. 5 лет назад
Roadking911 the lower control arms were rusted through on this truck but I replaced them both
@Roadglide911
@Roadglide911 5 лет назад
Gibson63 done that also. I have a 67 C10. I took the front end off an 86 and installed the crossmember ( entire thing) on my 67. I Bought it for 50.00 and it came with everything. It was in pretty good shape. I took the rotors off and replaced them, the bearings, and bushings. It was cheaper than buying the conversion kit. Us poor folks gotta improvise.

My mistake was and I see it now but I was in too far to get out. I built a 496 stroker, put a mean street FI on it. I am in about 15 grand in engine and truck is sitting in pieces all over my house. The garage is full, two bedrooms full, and boxes in kitchen. As you might have guessed I’m single. 😂😂 My GF doesn’t like it but it’s my house.
