Ah yes, the old percolator. My parents used a percolator for many, many decades and they were never dissatisfied. I think Stanly has a winner there. Thanks for your insightful review, as always.

Looks like a great percolator. I prefer lightweight titanium stuff like Snow Peak/Evernew but I’m with you on Stanley. Always liked their stuff, especially their older green thermos stuff.

Nice. I personally don’t drink coffee. But I always carry it into the wilds. It makes a great barter item. Many many times I’ve met someone two days away from the trailhead who was jonesing for a cup of Joe. Stanley makes good stuff. 👍🏻👍🏻

Love your cooking in the Stanley French press, Roberts Bushcraft 👍 I'm turning into an old man..maybe it's time I try some percolator coffee versus my French presses..🤔

Great review Ernie! Love mine! I have owned one of these for the past 3 years, great product, excellent quality, easy to clean and makes plenty of coffee! And you would be surprised how long it actually stays hot after it's made. If your thinking about getting a perk' , this is the one you want!

Grew up with my dad using Stanley and Coleman thermos and ice chests. Still have some of them to this day and they're well over 25 years old and still going strong.

This was a great review Ernie. I've had my eye on just the basic stanley cook set, because I am putting together some stuff for emergencies or car camping. I was considering one of those drip coffee makers , but this is so nice. Will show my husband the video. Weather there sounds lovely.

I've been carrying a stanley thermos to work with coffee along with a stanley coffee cup every day for about 30 yrs of construction. I probably have around 400 dollars worth of stanley products, 2 pot sets the full mountain french press along with the growlers and many coffee cups. I am disappointed they don't have the coffee cups I used to carry but now it's down to the bullet type travel mugs. I have dropped cups and thermos types 60+ feet onto concrete from boom lifts and they bounce and just barely dent. TC and ATB, Cris.

I ordered that same stove last year, one of the rivets was so tight, you couldn't swing the legs shut. I contacted them and they rush-shipped a replacement, been very happy with it..

Dear Ernie, I viewed your vid on the GSI percolator so was tooling around n seeing if they make them from titanium. Ran across this vid. Great. Its weight is a little under the usual for SS pots. Thanks! I’m thinking on keep looking. If I can find a percolater light enough I may replace it with one of these. Then i can boil water for meals AND have a coffee percolator!

Good one Ernie. I've been a big fan of Stanly products for many years. The name says quality. I have a couple different size Thermos type containers that I carried on the job and also hunting. I've been amazed that after hunting all day in single digit temperatures I reach for a shot of coffee and it still be good and warm. I love the handle design on that Percolator. That's slick.

I too am a huge fan of the Stanley products but not so much a coffee fan. One thing I've wondered because I've noticed a very common theme through several bushcraft/wild camping YT channels: Is it the interest in coffee+knives+fire that leads to bushcraft or the interest in bushcraft that leads to coffee+knives+fire?

A couple trips ago, I got sidetracked, and didn't notice the flames licking over the top of the lid. The percolator "window" got scorched and a little melted. It still works fine, but Stanley was very easy to deal with and sent me a new one without charge. I'll keep it just in case, but will still use the melted one for posterity sakes. It's my favorite multi-cup coffee maker for sure!!!!!! I would be very interested to see you do a review on the nCamp Portable Camping Coffee (Espresso) maker. If you like using a Moka Pot at home, this thing is awesome!!!!

Ive had this pot ordered for sometime along with their version of boil and brew press , they both came today after the roads cleared . Haven't used either yet . Ive a sling bag ill take out my old huge purkalator, thinking about modification to the press handles, use a spring to tie then together inside and outside, then add something insulated over it all to make it more ridged , if i have to ill braze them together, im disabled, itll be out im my 4x4 pickup or 4x4 4 wheelers , not worried about weight or packabilty

Just bought it on clearance at a local department store for $11. Also got a Stanley pot and 2 bowl set for $7. Wow! Bought the last two of each. Can't wait to make some hot chocolate for my daughter on the trail with the pot and some coffee for me. Anybody have a good recipe? Love that Redcamp stove as well. Was looking for an MSR Windpro 2, but no need with this stove. I need a nice bag for the pot set and this awesome perculator. Works well on my stove in the kitchen, too. My Redcamp stove has a different shaped burner. Love that you can safely use a wind screen with this style canister stove.

Thanks Ernie , I have the Stanley Adventure set and Cook and Brew press, here a tip you may know , smear on some liquid soap on the bottom outside of them and it make it easier to clean the suit off , also do you think Stanley will ever make items in Titanium ?

@PaleoHikerMD

The top is stainless steel, but the percolator window is some kind of hard plastic. It can be easily replaced with a glass version, but unless the flames hit it directly I do not think you will have a problem.

Looks like a nice percolator. I recently bought the French press from Stanley after seeing your review. I love it but missed the percolator flavor with the first cup. Also love that the percolator has a lifetime warranty but having experienced Stanley bail , and stop honoring their lifetime warranty on their tape measures years ago from our local hardware stores I read this and wonder if Stanley will stand behind this warranty? Great video.

Had to laugh when you're talking about flame control. Looks like you need some lessons on flame control by the looks of the pot. You never want a flame to come up and around a pot of any kind. Keep the flame on the bottom only and you won't have that mess.
