@@danielguidetti8413 It's all about what mood you're in; whether you want something smooth you can have going in the background or something more abrasive to mosh to. Not that I've seen a lot of moshing for a while 🤣
I played this track, warming up for Norman Jay. He said he forgot how good it was and would get another copy when he got back home. Was happy with the feedback.
This song is hard to find if you last heard at a house party in 2001 and you think it's by Jurassic 5. In fact it was on a compilation called Rebirth of Cool 5!
My dad showed me this song and I love it. Been listening for 8 months and it's a tune . He tells me about how amazing this was when it first released and how great pre 2000s music was generally. Glad I have the same music taste as him because most music in the last 10 years has been absolute crap
If you liked this you should check out the album/mixtape that the original was on: "The K&D Sessions" - It's from 1998 so you're well within the pre-2000 threshold :)
As an almost 50-year-old, it took "Good Boys" to remind me how brilliant this remix is -- but now I'm reminded, it'll never be forgotten again. (And it's not often a track from my 20s provides any interest to my 14 year-old daughter, but this one did. Thanks, Phil, and here's to her researching Bill Borroughs without me having to suggest it.)
downloaded this back in the napster era (legally, of course, if the statute of limitations has not passed) and thought until very recently that it was the original version. maybe the best song about mugwump jism out there
Wish this was on Spotify. Legendary song from the Republik in Calgary. Someone has to know that fellas that remixed this to make it eternal on all the streamers.
When I was in high school ALL I listened to was classic rock, but thats okay because for the last 5 years I have found the ONLY other genre of music I really give a shit about. The hip hop revolution was the BEST time for music in American history. Severely underrated. I'm 22 and god dammit I spit with soul, this is the only shit I'll listen to for the rest of my days.
Check out "Psychedelic Breaks & Nuggets" and "The Trip" by a German DJ that goes by the name of Dexter. He did a lot of crate digging from psych rock for these mixes and album.
This remix is the version I heard first (on the fantastic Rebirth Of Cool Phive compilation). Whenever I hear the original tune, it leaves me feeling flat... Makes me wanna hear this superior remix.
Can someone please tell me the origin of that guitar loop starting 1:03 into the song and continuing right through to the end. There's a female vocalist towards the end of the track that finish's what I perceive to be the loop in its entirety after making an orgasmic scream. LOVE THIS TRACK!!
I always thought it was taken from Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" See; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_n9HhmX36Gk.html&feature=shares&t=9
Try some old Tribe Called Quest, Pharcyde, People Under the Stairs (Acid Raindrops partcularily) Jurrasic 5. Also check out anything Chemical Brothers do with Q Tip.
my sister in law gave us this disc (rebirth of cool phive) back in 95 for xmas and introduced us to a whole new type of music. thank you joanne! we were so very young back then and musically naive.
