I use pre-made anti bite Ali Express wire, just remove the snap in one end so I can attach the bombarda and beads, I measure the difference between the float and the wire and add tubing (from window cleaner sprayer) accordingly, so it is tight. No line tangle whatsoever. I use it for sea shore fishing, floats 30gr and 50gr. I like this setup as I can be lure fishing and I can easily put bombarda rig to my line without tying anything.
This is a great idea, just wanted to ask do you 'lock' the added tubing just by putting the snap back on? Also I'm assuming you're using a 30cm wire and it's working well for you even though the added tubing is slightly shorter than the bombarda's?
@@michaelhackman6402 I add a split ring instead of snap, also I use rubber beads as I can make tighter connection. I cut tubing longer than I need and then cut again once I see how much needs to be taken off. Yes, the added tubing is shorter maybe the wire is 30 cm I did not measure the length. The Idea is that the added tubing can only swing back to a certain degree and not leave any gaps between the bombarda and the tube, so the line cannot catch or swing back. The steps to achieve this are: cut the snap on the wire, put a bead, fish it on bombarda than I put some old fishing line on the wire loop add the tubing and another bead to the old line, press it to see how much I need to trim the tubing, trim it, put it again and then I use a small screwdriver on the loop to keep everything tight until I put the split ring. In this case the swivel is on top of bombarda, if you want it at the bottom just reverse the wire. With hard beads it is difficult to achieve this. When you cast you have to stop the cast just before hitting water so the lure goes ahead of bombarda and it doesn't tangle. Hope it helps :)
@@squeesmyth9025 Lure limit is based on the rod action. So you can cast long distnces. Float should be the bulk of the weight, lures are light hence you use the bombarda. To heavy float makes a big splash-not good sometimes.
How do you fish with that float? Like you said, it sinks, so how do you know when a fish bite using that float? Do you simply wait for the fish to pull in order to know that the fish is biting and then set the hook accordingly? So, if this is true, the bombarda float is designed merely to add weight to your line so that you can cast your lure farther? I guess it is designed to be used with a fly or some kind of light lure to help you to get your lure farther. Is my assumption correct? Anyway, thanks for showing us how to tie this set up, I appreciate it!
Only thing I would change would be that I'd do away with the clip and have an ordinary swivel to which I would knot the leader. The less metal work in a rig the better I think. But hey nice one.

Excellent idea, however I use a 9 or 7 foot fly leader with a stiff butt section and rubbed totally straight, hasn't totally eliminated tangles but they are few and far between and come out readily with just a shake.Tight lines.
I use a setup very similar to this and it really is tangle free 👍. Do you often fish with bombarda ? And if so, what flies do you use the most for it ?
