Bombay Cat vs Black Cat - Dissecting Their Differences (Which Is the Ultimate Pick?) 

Their coats are extremely short and extremely glossy

My black cat lucky was a stray for idk how long when he appeared out of nowhere right at my feet when I was in front of my house he wasn't yet 2 when I took him to the vet that same week it's been almost 2 yrs n whether he is a Bombay or not I don't care I love him so much i asked the vet what was wrong with his face n she looked at me confused to me his face is very odd shaped like from the bottom of his nose on down it looks like more should be there he always looks like hes pursing his lips with big alien eyeballs she said he was a bombay but hes lanky i never heard him meow but he willcoo n twill n bubble sounds. This video did not help at all can someone else let me know anything ❤

⁠@@tarasilver8591I can offer this information as I have a purebred and a Bombay mix. The most noticeable appearance traits are the copper eyes and the top of the tail is rounded (does not come to a point like most cats). The walk and trot by the purebred is very recognizable and will be just like a lion, tiger. jag, leopard. I refer to it as big cat swagger. Purebred is twice as heavy as it looks due to very dense muscle. Our purebred trills and makes the bubble sounds and has only meowed once or twice. As far as the psychological aspect, it’s hit or miss. We had our mix first and he is a genius, extremely social, responds to verbal communication by his name or any of his 6-7 nicknames. If he is sitting and I snap my fingers twice he runs to me in excitement. If he is walking or running and I want him to stop, I snap my fingers twice and he’ll come to a stop. He prefers companionship over food if both are available. Since we had the mix first when we got the purebred we had very high expectations for the behavioral aspect but she’s a nervous energy wound up kinda cat but she is gorgeous. They both open doors, the mix fetches (he actually showed me he wanted to retrieve his crinkle ball) while the purebred takes the toy in its mouth and runs off like a thief. Nope. That’s not true. They cannot have green eyes!

@@Autumn_Forest_ American Bombays (which is what this video is talking about) have orange, gold, or copper eyes, while the English ones (created later) have golden or green eyes. Fun fact: A Kitten can be born completely white but will darken and become black overtime!
