Think my cat is a mix of a Bombay cat. Fully black with a small white patch on his chest. He learned fetch on his own and leash training took only two days.
For teeth I recommend using baby toothbrushes, they are cheap and fit well. Always buy a toothpaste that your cat thinks taste lovely. Get the best taste, and brushing gets easy. We brush our boy's teeth every day - he insists on it, loudly. But beware of overheating on warm summer days.
I have a 14yo Bombay and I swear he acts like he is 4yo.He plays all the time and he is huge also,he has the biggest head Ive ever seen on a cat and its proportional because he is 20 pounds of muscle.
Rare fact is purebred bombays are all black. Impure may have white fur. But bot like a tuxedo. It's like three to 10 and not a patch. Chances are you find a black kitten in a dumpster or alley w a little white, again, not enough for a patch but a few. You probably just found a 2k cat Also black palms, they will cuddle under covers, they barely shed, and they are velcro cats so they never leave your side
I think my two kitties have Bombay in them. They are brothers, fully black, one with green eyes and one with gold eyes. So many cuddles and snuggles and such intelligent eyes. The cuteness is unreal!
Bombay cats only come from a breeder and are sold as older kittens and neutered before sold to preserve the integrity of the breed, to avoid breeding with other cats. They are always sold with a pedigree certificate and are sold in various categories.. A "Champion Show Quality" cat can sell for 4,500.00… They are never found as strays or at shelter. There is no such thing as "a part Bombay" cat. Other black cats are "Domestic black cats"...
@@1953childstar my cat is definitely a Bombay mix and she came from a shelter. I got her at 3 months and blood tests revealed she definitely had a Bombay lineage! So, I don’t know where you get your information that you cant get one from a shelter or you won’t ever find one as a stray, but you are full of it … just because she didn’t come with a pedigree or a certificate doesn’t make her Bombay lineage any less impressive! Lady Bagheera is a beautiful, smart and very affectionate Bombay girl! She is Pitch black, without a single white hair on her anywhere, and has striking gold, intelligent eyes! She has the most luxurious, soft fur and looks just like a miniature black panther, hence her name! So, don't sit there and try to tell me my girl can't possibly be a Bombay because there is no such thing as a Bombay mix or a Bombay shelter cat. I know better!
@@adropintheocean6282 exactly that guy has no idea what he is talking about! My Lady Bagheera is a beautiful Bombay mix that i got from my local shelter. I suspected she was a Bombay mix and took her to my uncle who is a vet. He did blood work for me and sure enough, she was definitely a Bombay. She will be a year old, next month and she is Already 10.5 lbs… she doesn’t look it until you pick her up… she's Fed a 100% grain free diet and loves to go out on a leash for walks with me… she,s a beautiful cat!
@@ZippedUpKitz Some of us actually have cats that were purchased from a breeder ( there are only about 11-12 in the United States ).. There is no such thing as a "Bombay mix"… A Bombay is mostly Sable Burmese with a bit of Black American Domestic. Bombay breeders all neuter their cats before a sale to preserve the integrity of the breed. You are quire rude to state "That I don't know what I am talking about"…. I actually own one with a certificate of pedigree that actually cost money. Enjoy your rude and "bullying" behavior !!!! Karma will prevail !!!
@@adropintheocean6282 Since there are only 11-12 Breeders in the United States, the breeders sell "Non show quality" cats at a reduced price after they have been neutered. None of these breeders are "unethical", because they must maintain a certain standard to maintain their standing as a breeder.
bullshit never did all off this , had 2 of them 1 died at 22 the other one which had 3 legs ,cause of a car accident died at 23 y/o ........ much love to my cats
My cat won't let me bath him,or cut his nails like I used to do when I found him as a kitten... I take him to get his nails clipped and occasionally brushed... If I do brush him, I have to bribe him with snacks... He won't let me brush his teeth or walk him on a leash either... I allow him to free-eat...
