When I look into these old videos, sometimes I wish I could go into the video and bring my father back alive :-) He was in Mumbai at that time. A young person working hard for his career. During the time this video was shot (1980s), he must be somewhere in Mumbai, playing with his little kid, thats me! If only I could go back in time.
@@rnayabed 1992 Economic crisis, 1993 Mumbai Bomb blasts by Dawood Ibrahim and Groups, Underworld Activities, Don Culture, Murders, kashmiri pandit Genocides. Those days were Much more Violent than Today's
👌My first visit to Bombay was during summer of 85. As a school boy I amazed to see large and big buildings, because I am from small town of Jharkhand ie Ranchi.
Today also. There are many Skyscrapers in Mumbai which we can compare with Western developed cities Like San Francisco, Chicago, etc.. But Bollywood totally ignoring it. I don't know what is their agenda behind it.
I was in Bombay for seven years during 80 to 87. Great place, great people with a lot of sweet memories. Gone are those good old days but everything is very fresh in the mind. Thanks
Most of Government Head Quarters (HQ) were in Mumbai , Banks HQ. There used to be cotton mills in Mumbai now on that land there are skyscrapers. Bollywood made lot of money so yeah compare to rest of India Mumbai was More developed in old days.
My Grandmother used to tell us ,at that time Parents used to approve Grooms proposal if he was residing in Bombay. That time living in Bombay was something great. 😂😂
Same thing is happening now in bangalore. If someone from tamilnadu is working in bangalore (Karnataka) then tamilnadu people will accept the proposals easily. Even if he is a janitor😂. So because of this there are lots of Tamil people working in karnataka. (1 crore +)
Beacaus that time there was some fear of police , and law and rule was good , also less population ,good attitude of people. Now attitude of people is just pathetic , hope it will change
Even though I am not from Mumbai I loved watching the scene after 3.33 hardly any road traffic very unfamiliar of typical city traffic. Mumbai was so much less crowded those days. Simpler during those times, the video must of mid 80s or so it appears from the scenes. thanks for the upload.
How funny time is ? We always desire that tomorrow would be better and beautiful. And yet, when you look back, the past and its memories seem better and beautiful than ever. Good old days !
Nice. Seeing Mumbai from the time that you weren't born was serene. Made me feel how time flies and how insignificant we are. But people are timelessly chill 👍👍👍. I love my country, India, for this very reason. Peace
@@raaziya2839 sach? Thanks for generalizing us all. And trust me this video is the closest I would like to get to Mumbai. Kasam se. 😂😂😂 "Destroyed" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 grow the F up bro. What are you like 7 or 8 years old or what?
I was excited to see trams but unfortunately didn't spotted in the video but the golden line 'Mumbai never sleeps' proved true...there was so much of hustle & bustle on the road even 40 years back❣ Proud to be a Mumbaikar😊😍
These kind of videoes always reminds me how small we all are as individuals, how small our problems are, time keeps going on, people comes, lives and dies, and we all too gonna die soon but world never stops, no one gonna remember you after you are gone bcoz those who suppose to remember you will also be gone after few years, we are just very very very small part of this universe, its reminder to live our life to fullest, doing whatever you want to do without worrying about what others gonna think about something, its reminder that all our problems are of no importance against this universe, and at last its reminder that LIFE IS SO BEAUTIFULL.
Miss those good old days when there were no mobile phones, far less cars & traffic & above all people who used to actually get delighted upon seeing each other & spent hours talking & building memories to cherish!🤟✌️👍
Went down the memory lane... this video brought back a lot of memories... life was simple & peaceful....roads weren’t crowded...watching an English movie at Eros theater was a hip thing & Chinese food was gourmet back then....hmmmm☺️☺️☺️☺️
@@no1brittbarbiefan when British east india company were developing city most migrants to the city were from within bombay presidency not from whole india . In short intrastate migration was more at that time . This includes mostly gujarathis and maharashtrians . Another thing is not whole mumbai only the sobo region ( south bombay) was developed by British . Hence you find many British monuments here . Its area is147 sqkm . The rest of suburban mumbai was developed after independence.
true to some extent. Asking cast/religion and discussing in public was never there. Journalists were those who knew how to write without provoking the people.
only one word ( OLD IS GOLD ) when i see the old videos my hart is pump more ..... i born here in Mumbai year 1975 now also live here, so changes happen ... no word
I am born 1995, I really miss this days.. hope time like this comes again, we r being made blind by technologists.. we r being made to do what we r not made for..😭
I could remember my childhood days... Around 1990 ... Mumbai was so clean... So spacious...broad nd huge footpaths.... much greener..... Nd beautiful....
These were the days when I was 10 years old, I don't remember everything very well but I used to have a lot of fun with my friends, going to school, playing cricket, playing badminton at night, I wish I could go back to that time.
I still remember trains used to be almost empty on Sundays, it was great, I used to go from Borivali to Churchgate in the morning, buy a couple of beers from the wine shop in Churchgate and spend my time in Nariman point near Air India bldg, cool breeze, then go off to Bandra, couple of beers more with friends near bandstand and then evening return home to Borivali...it was peaceful. Then somewhere around the 90s things changed for the worse and in 2003 I just had enough of Bombay and left it for good.
The year i born , feeling nostalgic, nice to see decent crowd, no tech gadgets, only news paper in hand, no Audi, Kia, only Fiat, ambassador, Ford Vehicle, double decker bus, and legendary TV advertisement of Nelco, and Videocon thunder TV amazing, i stay in same area were they filmed it , can relate what changes mumbai , Love u mumbai
Ambassador, Fiat, Maruti, Matador and once in a while a Contessa... the cars those days... just writing their names puts a smile on my face and a song in my heart!
Those kids 2:59 must be in 50s now. I was in Mumbai in early 90s. It looked the same. There was lots of poverty on the street. On the bright side , we kids loved school, roaming around the city in free time observing people and life go by. People were very hardworking and focused. Street food was so cheap and awesome. Traffic was not a concern and yet we loved to travel in the Best buses. Life was tough financially but also was peaceful.
