Hey thanks I saw this in London when it first came on and thought it was brilliant. In fact I went and saw it again the next year too. You brought back lovely memories. Thanks.
Thanks for posting! I saw this in NY... in which I thought the show was a spectacle - not the greatest piece of theater but I felt it brought back a sense, and awareness of foreign culture back to Broadway since AIDA had closed.
Hey thanks for uploading this!!! :) Very happy now that I've finally seen how Bombay Dreams actually looked like in London. There was talk of it coming to Singapore after Phantom but I've not heard anything anymore... Hopefully they're still thinking of doing it! It sounds and looks amazing!
the first song is CHAIYA CHAIYA... it was first produced for a Bollywood movie named DIL SE then it made it to West End in London then Broadway... then made it to Hollywood in INSIDE MAN..
Yes I know I actually have the Making of DVD. I am waiting for the thing to make it to DVD trust me :) But thanks for the heads up on the DVD. Not many would have bothered sharing the info. Cheers.
wow the london cast wasn't bad! Actually I think a few of them are on the New York cast. Didn't really like Akash but he wasn't horrible. neway Great show so thnx for uploading!!!
Ummm, even I couldn't remember where I got it from .... and I really didn't expect this much of comment to be posted for this video.. and I have neglected it, totally...
It is from London. And not sure whether its going to be staged again. May be after LOTR is brought down... as ARR's has scored for the LOTR musical as well.
In WestEnd.. thats in UK you can lipsync (I guess, its still has its limitations.. obviously you are not suppose to lipsync that entire musical..) In Bombay Dreams I think they only lipsynced only for Chayya Chayya song...
i have a question...i saw this a few years ago in NYC and i already knew the song 'The Journey Home'....was it written for this show? or was it just put in?
i dunn think anyone can capture essence of bombay dreams or rather bollywood in a stage show. ITs a good attempt but as an indian i do not see bollywood in it. Its mostly rehearsed dance steps.
