Film always makes it look "smaller." to be caught inside by one of those towering sets......I can't imagine the rag dolling those guys are taking. Great footage! Thanks for this morning's BM assist.....keep up the great work~
@@sdsurfer8152 Can't imagine the thrashing. In the 70's and 80's we rode some big waves, but they were half that size. Now...with metal knees and a hip ...and 62.....triple overhead stay fine brah.
My Lord... Powerlines Delivers... Mavericks, Teahupoo, Jaws... They put you in the pit with those big waves... No one does it better than PowerLines... 2:38 - 2:47 Poor bastard!
This is living, to hell with the consequences. In reality, get mauled by one of these monsters and chances are you will live. Pile your car at high speed and you will most likely die. That’s the beauty of surfing, very high thrill to risk ratio.
TooTrue . Think you missed my point. Any dickhead can drive fast and reckless, takes no skill just ignorance and youthful arrogance. Yet the consequences are often horrific. Surfing monsters like these requires great skill and knowledge etc. and the rewards are huge. I surfed most of my life in a sharky sort of area. When people asked if I worried about it I would say “a little, but way more chance of being murdered in my bed or maimed/killed on the roads”. What’s more if I had to choose I would take death by shark. I’m old now, can’t surf like I use to but try not to pass up the chance of some fun before I die ( which could be any time soon) just because of risk.
Actually its at 29.97 fps in 4K but at the time edited on a 1080 timeline. Definitely working on better frame rates and other aspects of getting good shots for an edit. You have some samples of video you've captured filming from a boat? Would love to see you put your money where your mouth is.
