A short film of my road trip down to Seattle and through to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, USA. I shot this on expired Ektachrome 64T Super 8 with a camera I picked up at a garage sale.

This song shows the decay of a relationship, all of its hopes and dreams, and the realization that things could change with effort. But we’re looking at a gravestone.

I like this song, how melancholic the chords are. Maybe life will eventually get better and I'll enjoy listening to these gloomy songs but in a different way, as a relieved person.

I personally listen to Bon Iver as a sort of amelioration of my emotional variance. It takes parts of my sadness, joy, sorrow, contentment, and mixes it together to make a beautiful mess. It’s strangely relieving, although I spare doing it often.

@@_TG hell yeah. For me it's a catharsis for emotions. Just dump them all out in one long session of music listening. I'm tuned out, off the grid, dead to the world during that time. I come out of it rebirthed.

Personally, I believe 16mm is the sweet spot. But Super 8 has a certain charm.

I shot it with a Minolta and the film was expired Ektachrome 64T that I picked up at a garage sale. I think you can find them on Ebay.

@@jacforsythe4414 oh wow that's awesome, loving the idea of this and being limited to what you can shoot. Did you edit much or is this just the video straight from the roll?

@@slipperypipe I rearranged a few little bits but it's mostly chronological. It's a really fun way of shooting, i'd recommend it! It's pretty expensive to develop but you can find the old cameras at garage sales or on craigslist. I got mine and the roll of film for $20
