So true. I am constantly effusively encouraging people to listen to him. So many of his lyrics don't always make sense to me, or I can't understand the flow, but the music and the emotion felt in his performance resonate. Much of his 22 A Million and his earlier pieces make me cry they hit so deeply. I am still learning to get into these newer tracks.

I tried to write one in that style. Basically using small and big words to describe something that doesn't make sense. Like this.... It was a white wash of our decision. I think it's because it's written from deeply subconscious material. Everyone has things within them that aren't within their awareness because they're distracted by the typical life situation that floats on top of it. He doesn't relate to any surface level experience. It's somehow so personal that it falls out of bounds of the Self and becomes universal

The emphasis on death and change and nostalgia in these four songs are more of the autumn feels

22, a million sounds like part fall, part winter and the last part summer, kind of like a journey :) the last few songs sound like he became better after all those years of his hiatus

I know this feeling and I also know the feeling of not getting back in touch with someone because of being ''too proud''... And honestly that's one of the worst things that can happen... I believe love (also as in friendship) is actually the very purpose of our existence and therefore it's very sad if something gets in the way of it. And I have no idea about what happened or how your situation looks like, so I have no clue if what I'm saying here even applies to you at all, but from my personal experience I only can tell nothing is worse than regretting something later on in life... So there are definitely some cases, worthy to make oneself vulnerable and get out of the comfort zone... But again maybe you also have a good reason not to contact this person or something bad happened, I don't know. So I'm not trying to convince you to get back in touch or anything, I'm rather just sharing my thoughts and feelings about this topic :)
