I'm happier than I'd ever thought I'd be to take the American flag back as something that represents ALL of us. I've spent too long seeing the Stars and Bars flown alongside the Confederate flag on the back of trucks with a Trump banner in the mix. They stole our flag and made it a symbol of hate and division when it should be for all of us.
When I initially heard this, it really affected me... It went around in my head every day for a week. I felt I was taken back in time, to the Civil War. Long live the Union! America strong! Tim Walz positively loves this group!

Harris needs to open every campaign event with this song. (Not this version though). This rendition was much too somber and pensive. It needs to be a stirring and rousing rendition.

This instantly touched me and makes me feel positive for the future. Freedom is everything, such a refreshing tone change from doom and gloom rights uncertainty alternative.
I love this version of this song! I haven’t heard it since grade school and I don’t usually listen to country (except Dolly and Johnny) but this was very moving. Beautifully done. Edit: I guess it’s “indie rock” and not country but it still makes me love my country.
Well acquainted with the song, but only know the singers name from an Alex Jones montage. It was the wrong singer to use because that montage is so much better.
I do not condone violence, and I think this song is about channeling frustration into a positive vision for the future that is inclusive and uplifting and unifying toward a cool purpose of improving all of our lives and not hurting anyone. I hope that nobody takes this too far and gives in to base impulses. Let's keep it civil, let's keep it POSITIVE. We want a better future for everyone, and want everyone in the BIG TENT!
