Bon Jovi I wake up in the morning And I raise my weary head I've got an old coat for a pillow And the earth was last night's bed I don't know where I'm going Only God knows where I've been I'm a devil on the run A six gun lover A candle in the wind When you're brought into this world They say you're born in sin Well at least they gave me something I didn't have to steal or have to win Well they tell me that I'm wanted Yeah, I'm a wanted man I'm a colt in your stable I'm what Cain was to Abel Mister catch me if you can I'm going out in a blaze of glory Take me now but know the truth I'm going out in a blaze of glory Lord I never drew first But I drew first blood I'm no one's son Call me young gun You ask about my conscience And I offer you my soul You ask if I'll grow to be a wise man Well I ask if I'll grow old You ask me if I've known love And what it's like to sing songs in the rain Well, I've seen love come And I've seen it shot down I've seen it die in vain Shot down in a blaze of glory Take me now but know the truth 'Cause I'm going down in a blaze of glory Lord I never drew first But I drew first blood I'm the devil's son Call me young gun Each night I go to bed I pray the Lord my soul to keep No I ain't looking for forgiveness But before I'm six foot deep Lord, I got to ask a favor And hope you'll understand 'Cause I've lived life to the fullest Let this boy die like a man Staring down a bullet Let me make my final stand Shot down in a blaze of glory Take me now but know the truth I'm going out in a blaze of glory Lord I never drew first But I drew first blood And I'm no one's son Call me young gun I'm a young gun Young gun, yeah yeah yeah Young gun
One of my favourite live performances of any song period! This is my favourite Bon Jovi song anyways but this live version is incredible. I love Jon’s smile before the solo. So epic.
Samboras solo is better and more in keeping but he "isn't as cool" as Jeff Beck so you won't see any of his solos or riffs in any guitar charts, you'll just hear his work played everywhere, even now, whereas the "legends" aren't. ..
@@work8046🙄 Richie is a great guitarist, no doubt. But Jeff Beck was on a whole other plane. If you don’t hear Beck being played, you’re not playing attention.
Everyone is singling out a certain members, but this was an all around gem of a performance by the entire band! I watch it every few months. Then have to watch it again a few hrs later cause it's stuck in my head. I'm 38, and was only 12 when this happened, but loved Young Guns and this song growing up. Watching this performance as an adult, makes me understand why I loved it so much.
@@Cheximus Jeff Beck wrote the original and is rated in the guitar world - Richie not so much... Look at how he changed the solo from the Young Guns album into his own BJ solo, look & listen. . ...it's on FIRE !!!! ...and I was there to see it ;)
@@adm924s I know that. And it suits the song. Richie used the energy of playing live and created a beast of a solo. From the videos I've seen of 95 the crowd mostly focus on Jon, not many eyes on the King of Swing!
All these replies!!!! He still plays great this is 24 years ago, I would still go and see him , I like his performances with orianthi, Bon jovi seems to be just a 2nd rate Springsteen now , they have to have 2 guitarists toreplace
To all those people out there knocking Richie , he still rocks more than john , here he is with Alec too for induction into the rock n roll hall of fame last year ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2wC1EZIbNdw.html

Thanks for posting this, we were raised on a healthy dose of The Beatles and Bob Jovi. This song hit my yound heart with many emotions back then, I was born in 1982.
