It's called "maning up" - a profound way to face down any critics - a song from his youth sung with perfect pitch and backed by his powerful band of extraordinary musicians.
I wa s there i let it rocked.. Anyone thta slags the best Touring band on the planet should have a serious word with themselves. was a treat to hear this at the wonderful O2 arena.
I was there when they sang that song. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the first notes. I said to myself Oh my God it can't be! I was thrilled! Really thrilled! I really love when they surprise us like that by playing songs no one would think they would perform live again. Let's wish we'll have the chance to hear that stuff again. ♥♥♥
He is one of my greatest influences as well. But you can tell that he has lost his chops. He was quite sloppy playing the solo. Nothing like the old days
These classic Bon Jovi's songs are the best! I went to a concert and they sang this song, the new Bon Jovi fans, who weren't even born when this song was came out didn't know the words, or the song, but they rocked with the rest of "old people" lol Sometimes it's greaat getting old, especially when it comes to rock music! Rock on Bon Jovi!
i got the cassette of slippery when wet when i was on holiday in yugoslavia...yes it was that long ago..and played it over and over again in my tent..was in 86 i think..drove the campers crazy
I saw them in concert. in Endicott NY. sure they were late because of weather but well worth the wait. I had backstage passes and had a drink with the entire band. I grew up listening to bon jovi. .
The weekend comes to this town Seven days too soon For the ones who have to make up What we break up of their rules Well I saw Captain Kidd on Sunset Tell his boys they're in command While Chino danced a tango With a broomstick in his hand He said: It's alright (alright) if you have a good time It's alright (alright) if you want to cross that line To break on through to the other side Let it rock, let it go You can't stop a fire burning out of control Let it rock, let it go With the night you're on the loose You got to let it rock We go down to the Broadway Where everybody goes To get on their rockin' horse And blast that radio Well I saw Roxie on the table Her girlfriend down below They'll give it to the king of swing Before it's time to go They said, It's alright (alright) if you have a good time It's alright (alright) if you want to cross that line To break on through to the other side Let it rock, let it go You can't stop a fire burning out of control Let it rock, let it go With the night you're on the loose You got to let it rock
They're a band of brothers chasing an unending dream and following the rainbow. Follow them, worship them! They are the Gods of rock! They keep it alive for us! They are my heroes!
They prove time travel is possible today. For those of us fortunate enough to grow up back then. I'm instantly sent back to the 80s. When I listen to them
Veritably, I have Bon Jovi in my soul. I'm connect with they by my spirit for ever and never. I love you So much God Bless You for all are you without you the life is not the same for me. Thank You !
He used to, not anymore. Phil X is leagues above Richie, he can take what was a solo of Richie's and rip it to shreds and make is sound new and add to it make it sound so much better.
Carl Clandestine I can't agree more. We need to hear more stuff like this. It would sure add some spice to the setlists. Don't get me wrong I love Bon Jovi shows but I always have the impression of seeing the same show over and over again. We need more surprises and more spontaneity during the shows.
+Amy Edwards Well, they ain't no Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. They change their setlists actually quite often compared to other artists but as often as The Boss does it.
As much as I (and many others) would love to see songs like Let it Rock, Only Lonely, Get Ready, Homebound Train, Something to Believe in, etc. at this point Jon's voice is completely shot to the point that he's even struggling on Who Says You Can't Go Home and Because We Can. It has improved slightly since october, but not nearly enough to be able to sing any of the old stuff well. I highly doubt we'll ever see these gems again in a setlist. Although he would probably still sound pretty good on "Shot Through the Heart" from the first album, since it requires very little range.
Awesome song, sounds great live! Love it when they play some of the hidden gems live like this, "Only Lonely", "Superman Tonight", "Last Man Standing" etc. - A superb catalogue from a superb singer and band!
Jon in the late 80's and 90's was not thatvgood live but the rest were. Jon did not reach his perfection until late 2000's. Did security work at venues in NYC sovwe pretty much watched them grow up. Now after his surgury and Richie gone the boys should have taken a well needed rest as it hurts tovwatch Jon sing now. Im see he is getting better as the tour goes on but they need a break.
After all ... I've never seen a band, or singer, who sounds live just like they do on a record! And they will absolutely never sing their songs like they did twenty years ago! No one does ... take who ever you want. That's life and live!!! I still can see the fun in their faces, I still can feel it even when they do their live performances ...
I just love you all!!! You are the greatest Rock'n'Roll band in the world - there is no other band who is above you! You are simply the BEST!!! Keep Rocking and Rolling and making that great music!!!
i love BON JOVII..i was 16 when i was singing their songs...i miss Cebu City 40 the band we even followed the RAD of Mr.John Bon Jovi wow!!!!!great band...
i say bon.jovi just keeps getting better and better and just when you think they cant get any better they get even better, this band is just to good keep on rockin : ) kickass!
Two times on BJ show... Not enough to heard it live. One of the best of their songs and one of the best intros ever, hugely inspired (IMO) by Jon Lord from Deep Purple. Good old days.
grandes bon jovi!!!!!!!!!!!jon aun conserva una gran voz no como la de los 80(es normal) pero aun asi canta magnifico.son muy grandes richie, brian, tico.
