You should also check out Never Say Goodbye and You Give Love (A Bad Name) from the same album (Slippery When Wet) it was their breakthrough third album. Then to bring you up to date... Born To Be My Baby, Bad Medicine, These Days, Its My Life, Have A Nice Day, Joey, Misunderstood, Because We Can, This House is Not For Sale and from their new album 2020 I’d recommend Do What You Can, Limitless and Unbroken..... that’s a quick update over their 34 year career so far ......
@@fernandoloya6325 it was Jon that campaigned for Joe Biden, not the band. He’s been an open supporter of the Democratic Party for over 25 years and has never made it a secret.
You should also watch this video from Bon Jovi. It's call "Always"....Its an amazing ballad. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9BMwcO6_hyA.html
I was your guys age when this came out and that's 33 yrs ago....they are one of the biggest groups of all time.. Wanted dead or alive Born to be my baby Lay your hands on me Always I'll be there for you All great songs and you should binge watched them they'll help with your subs
Not gonna lie here. Being a 50 year old and growing up with bands like this; I was smiling with your smiles the whole time. Almost brings tears to my eyes. I love to see young people smiling and enjoying something as powerful as music. We need more of that in the world - love and smiles! Nice reaction!
@@andrewschliewe6392 I remember this song coming out sometime in 1987...at least that's when I first remember hearing it. At that time I had been out of high school for about a year (Had wanted to become a gunner on an Iowa class battleship and tried to join the Navy in 1986 but was denied for bad eyesight, filed for a medical waiver, also denied) I'm now 52, not old. To me, old is stuff like The Andrews Sisters, Bing Crosby, etc, lol.
This is back when music was more fun! (I was in high school when this was released) Then the 90's happened, all the rockers were depressed and the hip-hoppers were pissed off. *sigh* Music has never really recovered.
It's funny because the video for that song clearly shows that he only has one arm, but most reactors don't notice it. It's like some psychological thing, where the brain simply can't see it because it's not expecting it.
Saw them in '89 with their Slippery When Wet tour. They had an empty stage with some scaffolding. When they played I'll Be There For You, the scaffolding came down and created a ramp and walkway. John walked up the ramp and out on the walkway. He gave the balcony seats a front row seat to that song. It was awesome.
Especially, The Real Ghostbusters. One of the best-produced cartoons of all time. The morning cartoons are what made kids not even want to sleep in, because if you didn't see it at the time it came on, you missed it.
I was around 17 (I'm a young 52 now btw😉) when I spent 6 weeks in Oahu, Hawaii visiting family and 1 of my cousins had tickets to see them in Honolulu!! Bon Jovi was my first concert ever 👍👍👍
The whole album, Slippery When Wet was the number one Hard Rock album of 1987. Its been said that Jon Bon Jovi didn't like this song and didn't want it on the album but went with it and the rest is history!
What I love about Bon Jovi videos is they use concert footage. I remember those concerts and even now people can watch them, enjoy the music and get the same feel for the band like so many of us that were there. They were just as good if not better live as they were on the radio.
Life was sooooo good back then and that uplifting sound you hear is what this era was about... people were genuinely happier then, no tech in our pockets, not cell phones...great times
Just to put things in perspective for the two of you. When this song first dropped Bon Jovi was as LIT culturally speaking as Travis Scott is today. facts
I believe that Bon Jovi is the band that metal heads, Punks, Rockers, hip hop heads, love song lovers, boy bands lovers, R & B lovers and many genre loving fans or it doesn't who they are listens to.
This is one of the best party anthems of all time. Met Jon Bon Jovi several times at notre dame football games when his son played football there. Very nice down to earth guy. Couldn't tell he was one of the biggest rock stars of all time.
Anything, by Bon Jovi, is damn near awesome, all around. This is 1 of the heavy hitter's, from the 80's & 90's. Pretty much anything they put out, turned to gold, if not platinum, in less than a week...
This was song was absolutely massive at the time, pretty much peak 80's hair rock excess. I was a pretty young kid at the time but I remember this song being absolutely everywhere.
Can see how much you enjoyed this song by your big smiles. Great reaction to one of my favorite bands. Grew up in the 80s and the long hair and mullet.
The 70s and 80s was a revolution of music. Those artists back then they knew how to make the crowds go with them they had the crowds in the palm of their hands. the music today is lacking in that.
I so enjoy you two enjoying one of my all-time favorites... I know how it felt up on a stage back in the 80's and this song never fails to give me chills and a little tear in my eye at the same time... thank so much for that.... bless you both, yep and Amen.
bon jovi were massive after this album came out...mainly because of their looks their sound and their videos.....the album had 4 major singles and all the videos were similar to this ....he had an incredible voice
Check out Wanted Dead or Alive , Keep The Faith , but especially Blood on Blood from them. The guitarist, Richie Sambora, has an incredible voice. He helps on the high end notes. He has some solo work to check out. Jon, the singer, has solo also. He did an album for Young Guns 2 movie. Check Blaze of Glory.
I was at the February 7, 1987 show in Houston, at the Summit...Cinderella opened for them..it was my first concert and I still will never forget that night. It was absolutely incredible ❤️
This is when the songs were personal and they came from things that were going on in their lives which is what you get when the artist writes their own songs which is what a lot of the music now days is missing
Was in high school when this came out and seen them in concert in Seattle tour there front band was Cinderella 1987 life was so good cant get any better then the 80s. I had my kids in the 80s n 90s they love the 80s n 70s.
Seen them twice back in the day and it was always fantastic. They put on a fun show and he could work the crowd. Like a big party. I loved him and of course the great hair. Great reaction guys.
They are one of the best bands ever. They are still making new albums. Their latest is. Bon Jovi 2020 just released in October. The 80s was the best when it comes to music.
Oh how I love me a man with huge hair and ridiculously tight pants! The 80's were THE best decade for music! Bon Jovi have been my favorite band since my little 5 year old self heard this song back in 86
Guys, definitely this video/song is awesome, but your reaction is priceless. I've been enjoying this song from long ago, but watching it through you reaction brought something new to it. Thanks!
Seen them in concert, They were great. Should react to the band Cinderella, Nobodys fool. , or The band Poison. Next song should be You give love a bad name.( Bon Jovi).🎤❣
Thank you so much Elijah like 17 18 years old I'm 47 years old this is what I used to listen to Back in the eighties when I was 17 18 years old watching the guys reacted is it's awesome
Seen Bon Jovi in concert when I was younger and they were flying over the audience like that. I thought that was just the coolest thing I ever seen, lol. They are awesome live though. Thanks for another great reaction to another great song!! You're Both Awesome!!🙂
Me and my brother don't have much in common when it comes to music but we both paid a top "dollar" (euro) to see Bon Jovi live. He twisted his ankle during the show but we didn't notice! And we literally ran to our seats during "It's my life" song. :D
My boy from Australia Joe Var Veri does an amazing acoustic guitar cover of this song and other Bon Jovi songs and Elvis too...his a big fan of both...I met Joe in Brooklyn
Back in my younger days I used to hang around in Asbury Park, NJ and old Jon and his band, before they were Bon Jovi, used to play down the street from where us locals hung out. His bunch were a crew of snot nosed 18 & 19 year olds from a bit farther north. Us older 20 year old and up went to have a good time, hanging at the Stone Pony and the boardwalk, and just wanted to fight and raise hell. It was a long time after that I got into listening to him.
I saw them in 1986. Cinderella opened for them. Check them out too. Then I took my daughter to see them 9 years ago when she was 9. Gotta start them young. 😃
I remember falling asleep as a kid listening to Bon Jovi and Def Leppard, cheap plastic headphones between my ear and the pillow. Weird Al was throwing out zingers. Full House and Family Matters were playing all day on the TV. People just had more fun back then. They wore bright colored clothing and had big poofy hair. It was the last time I can remember when people were genuinely happy. Then the internet became a thing and the whole world became miserable.
This was low key my favorite song as a kid. It wasn't cool to admit that though, at the time. It was a HUGE hit. Many people consider this the "anthem of the 80's".
Lead singer's name is John Bon Jovi. Now you see where the group's name came from. After the band ended, John Bon Jovi, became a movie actor. 5-28-2021
Yes kids,........... we did dress like that.......girls AND guys.............we really did do our hair like that.. and our music and concerts WERE a lot of FUN!
