If you continued watching her reaction you'd see that she didn't understand at first that Tommy and Gina were together, she thought it was seperate. She realised it as the song went on.
First album I ever bought - Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi. Relentlessly played on my radio/alarm/cassette combo lol. Favourite tune is Wanted dead or alive.
Being in high school in the 80’s, this song was one we all knew and played. At the local roller rink when this song came on EVERYONE jumped up and got on the floor to skate to this one screaming the words as we skated 😅
To go back to those days Sir. In my HS, no one ever missed the High School Social Dance. U had to have dress shoes, clear shirt & tie with a Sports Coat just to be allowed in. The girls also had to dress, & damn did they dress so well. In a time when we all wore suits. Look @the NBA of the 80's & how the Head Coaches dressed to impress. Celtics@Lakers, NBA Finals & how everyone dressed.
I'm 52. We had a blast!!! And still do sometimes. I still go out to show and concerts and music festivals. I've always been a music lover of all types! The 60s through the 90s was phenomenal! In all different genres of music.
Yep, we had some great Parties to this one.. Now perhaps do "Wanted Dead or Alive" .. The Guitarr player Richie Sambora actually has got a better voice than Jon, so don`t be afraid to react to some of Richies Solo songs .. "Father Time" , "Ballad of Youth" , "Stranger in this Town" , "Church of Desire"...:D
Ah the late 80s. Was so long ago now for me. Fun times. Me as a late age teenager with my first car...the fun of my life was just starting. Now Ive lived my life of fun and love. Wife I met back then and had for 30+ years passed on 6 years ago now/ Im still here listening to old music and remembering good times. What a life. Now for a little fun meds and enjoy the Easter weekend.
That guitar sound that you like is an effect called a "talk box". If you look at the video when he is using the talkbox you can see that he has a clear rubber tube in his mouth. the tube is taped to the microphone. When he activates the switch with his foot the guitar is diverted from the amplifier and sent up the tube in his mouth. he then reflects the sound from his mouth into the microphone and manipulates his mouth and lips to make the effect. at about 4:50 in your video when you talk about the guitar you can see the tube in his mouth!
3.30.24. At the 5:22 mark of the video, what you’re hearing is called a talk box🎸 Joe Walsh utilized it in his song, Rocky Mountain Way in 1973, another famous artist, Peter Frampton also utilized it.
He sang Once upon a time, not so long ago Tommy used to work on the docks, union's been on strike. You should do more of that. Join a trade union and organize yourselves. Then it will be better for everyone who works. So he is not a loser, but a man who demands a reasonable salary. Greetings from Europe.
Tommy and Gina are a couple. Tommy lost his job because the union went on strike. She is bringing home her pay to help out. He is not a bum. Glad to see you picked up on it later in the song!!
My Jersey Boy John Bon Jovi! Good music… good man! He has JBJ Soul Kitchen a community restaurant. Pay what you can afford, or donate, or your time as a volunteer for his foundation.
He’s not a bum he’s working on the docks. That means he’s a longshoreman Gina she works in a diner, those are eateries and New Jersey they’re working together to accomplish a goal. This is what this song means.
Absolutely right! Go to a Bon Jovi concert and you'll hear 20,000 fans singing the chorus at the top of their lungs. John Bon Jovi just holds out his mike to the crowd and let's them take it from there!
Shot out to Tommy. I vouch for that guy. He be a real stand up Joe. Dude is a beast. He may get knocked down, but bruh always gets right back up on his feet and proceeds to crush it. Never bet against Tommy. He The Goat.
Seeing you love Rock Hair Bands AN AMAZING TREAT to check out is an underrated Band called Steal Heart doing “Angel Eyes” original …and “She’s Gone” original video! YOU ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT BE SORRY!!😳😂🥰♥️🔥
We had lots of male rock musicians with long hair who played uptempo music: Unskinny bop by Poison, Pour some sugar on me by Def Leppard, Cherry pie by Warrant, We're not gonna take it by Twisted sister and The final countdown by Europe among others. The disco era in the mid 1970's with groups like Village people, The Jacksons, Hot Chocolate, KC and the Sunshine band, Wild cherry and Boney M were even more uptempo though and so were the glam rock of the early 1970's and the early rock 'n' roll of the 1950's.
Somebody kill me😳 This girl (weren't talking about a child ) is hearing Bon Jovi for first time now??? Would be the same that claiming " hey, what we breathe is oxygen". 😵💫😵💫😵💫
I love Bon Jovi, Jon Bon Jovi is the lead singer and he is so cute and a very nice guy! Richie Sambora, the lead guitarist is pretty cute too! They were one of the premier "hair bands" of the eighties! Check out their hits, "You Give Love A Bad Name" and "It's My Life"!🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you wanna check out some super soulful stuff from the 90's. Check out some fionna apple. Criminal is a good start, or, across the universe (which is a beatles cover)
I was around when Bon Jovi came on the scene with this powerful song that was played over and over on the radio and dominated the MTV video scene!! They are true Super Stars and lot of people thought they were strange and full of themselves until they stopped to listen to their powerful lyrics a d music!! This is one of my all time songs I listen to for inspiration!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
🎸 Bon Jovi has a new song out and it's called legendary, please check the song out. Truly is a good song, I guarantee you will like it. also thank you for doing this reaction and I hope you have a happy Easter as well.
Not sure if it's somewhere else in the comments, but that's not a guitar you're hearing and referring to. He's doing that with his voice over a talk box. Great effect on this song.
